I went to GIS from 2003-2008, then went to a much more renown IB boarding school, I must say that GIS and itโ€™s culture does compete with other top international schools abroad that are doing different, harder and more modern curriculum like the international baccalaureate. Although the campus is small, GIS does a great job to uphold characteristics and integrity within their students whereby they continue to prolong friendships and networks outside the walls of school. Compared to other international schools in KL, GIS also has the best reputation in relation to students and their respect of Malaysian culture and society whereas other schools are filled with toxic expats who do not live for the long term benefit of Kuala Lumpur.

This one star is presented to the LOUSIEST main campus school tour by Ms. Cassie, with poor English, she was wasting our precious 45 minutes to go around the school showing us everything we can view and read on their GIS website, she kept mentioning about covid time covid time, YES, WE GOT IT!! We are in an international school now, fully aware of the new normal in many schools, I had to explain to her firmly and again and again, to help me understand what's it like when this pandemic is over, if we are to choose GIS, we aren't just focusing on sending our kids during covid time. She also claimed that NO STUDENTS get to use their school library after school, only break and lunch time and during library period, when I raised the question of WHY NOT? She asked me why would they want to stay back? They already have library time during school time. I was very upset and irritated by her response, they have a very nice library, it should be ready to open door for those students whom like to stay back and read and read and read, maybe half an hour after school.. she said it is always like that, even before covid, no student was allowed to be in the library for security purpose, except staffs' kids. I was like WHAT?? What a weird answer, I had to stress the importance of being able to use the library even after school, after a lot of back-and-forth, she said she will check with someone to get back to us. And when we asked for a sample of their Year 4 time table, she straightaway said WHY, we don't have it, no one ever asked for it, after we politely pushed for it simply to have a clearer picture of what to expect if we are serious about putting our kids in their school, she then said she will check with someone and get back to us. In short, this is one of the most depressive school tour we have even been. It's ashamed that GIS would let someone so incompetent to represent them. The truth is whoever requested for a school tour needed to be treated seriously and impressed with whatever you have, we aren't here for a heeheehaha & I-will-check-and-get-back-to-you session.

More than a decade after leaving this school, I still have flashbacks to the absolute hell that the teachers at this school gave me, traumatizing me with their condescension, their absolute lack of respect and understanding for students, and entitlement. Time heals all wounds but they don't heal the trauma inflicted on the mind of 10-17 year olds who went here. I was here for only a few years but the damage was done. Living in a foreign country now, far away from home- I still have days and nights where I suddenly remember things from this school: the unreasonable teachers that let anger rule their words and actions, the humiliation they put me through, that fruit lunch I bought from the canteen that had worms in it, the habit of biting my nails off to avoid the metal rulers when they come for a spot check- 16 years later and all of this still haunts me, pains me. If I ever have children, they will never ever go to this school. Ever.

Went for a friendly match with GIS school team, the pitch is excellent. There is a car park for public, in the hospital building just beside the school. The fee is Rm2 per entry.

Garden International School, I sing for you The school is a place for teaching and educating people. It has excellent teachers, complete facilities, rich knowledge and minerals, and a place that makes us cry. Garden International School, I sing for you, for your vigor, for your wisdom and courage. Garden International School, I sing for you, for your down-to-earth, and for your brave innovation. Yanzhong, I sing for you, for your Chongde and fitness, for your truth-seeking harmony. I commend Garden International School for its selfless dedication. Do you know what the school has given us? It's knowledge, it's power! We have grown from an ignorant child to an outstanding student today, and every bit of progress is soaked in the school's efforts. "The mountain of books has road and diligence as the path, and the sea has no cliffs to work hard as a boat." The school has allowed us to find the tricks of learning, and let us find happiness in learning. We are a small boat to go on a long voyage. The school gave us a sail. With the sail, we can go farther and see a wider world. On campus, you have opened up knowledge to us in a unique way, listen to us read aloud and listen to us sing. You show us the green shoots, when the rain comes, you show us the water splashes all over the ground, when the snow comes, you watch us play snowball fights, accompany us to build a snowman, and you give us the most beautiful memories in our golden years. On campus, you are a vast ocean, vast and far-reaching. You are our home and paradise. You have our common goals and common ideals. You are like a mother who comforts every child. You are fire, use your warmth and enthusiasm to tell us the truth of being human, use your light and life to illuminate our way forward, you are the moon, use your tenderness and brilliance to mold our hearts. After passing the study project, I have a closer and stronger affection for the campus. Yes, he teaches and educates people, and he cultivates new students. He has laid the foundation for today's efforts, and it sets the stage for tomorrow's success. brilliant. We sing and cheer for you on campus. Your children are basically smiling so happily and sweetly because they are in your arms. You will always be in my heart with an indelible image!

I am very disappointed in this school. My son had been waiting months to hear from me because he needed English support classes. Every time I ask, the answer is let's keep waiting. If there are no places, can't they be determined early? These months have wasted our time, preventing us from making other arrangements. Only on the last day, also under my questioning, did I say that there was no place left. Is that cheating? Or is there a problem with fundamental management? It is really disappointing. How should we calculate the loss we have been waiting for these months?
