★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The famous Xao fish head original store. Same setup remains, food taste the same after all these years. Serving is generous. Must try dishes are
1. XO Fish head Mee Hoon
2. Claypot Lou Shui Fun
3. Fried intestine
4. Fried pek kuih
Service is courteous, food is serviced fast and hot. Highly recommended place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tasted Goon Wah at Genting, we thought this is the same owner. However the fish head meehoon tasted quite plain. Found out the branch at Genting is actually opened by their biz partner after part way.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Read the review this morning and went ahead to try the claypot Lou Shu Fun and Fish Head noodle. Indeed they are not the typical type. The claypot noodle is not dark with thick soya sauce nor oily. It loaded with crispy pork lard an minced meat. It is light and flavorful.
The fish head noodle is not heavy with evaporated milk or cream. The taste is light and refreshing from the and sourness and sweetness. The fish head portion is large. Thus the price is on her side.
The meals taste like home cook type. It gives out the warm and cosy feel
Will definitely be back to get the claypot noodle

The serving & service really swift! Less than 10minutes waiting time ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My go-to place for comfort food. Personally their fish head noodle is second to none, with milk and taste fresh, sourish and the fish umami. "M" size fish head noodle pot for 2 pax, and a side dish of stir fry pork small intestine. Taste fantastic!

Claypot lao shu fen : Tasty and fragrant. Filled with minced pork and pork lard. Would give it a 5 star!
XO fish head noodles : Filled will quite a lot of fried fish head. The soup is refillable. the soup is not the typical creamy type but light and has a touch of sourness. (so it depends on personally liking) but i enjoyed it having some yam inside!
Fried intestine : Tasty! portion was little small
Pork Yam and Bun : Tasty!!

Signature: Claypot Fish Head Noodles
Located in a very difficult to park place near Kuchai Lama, Goon Wah is famous for their claypot XO fish head noodles 3.5 ? and is a top fish head noodles place in Klang Valley. However, was quite dissapointed as it was so so only. Well, the soup is those less milky and it comes in a Claypot with chunky fried fish head, tomato, bean curd, Yam and salted vegetables. The thick noodles is a bit too soft and in fact doesn't taste much like fish head noodles.
However the Yam Braised Pork (Woo Tau Kau Yok) 4.5 ? is really good. It's very authentic in flavour and pairs perfectly with the bun (man Tou). We also tried the Claypot Lou Shi Fun 4 ? which is the Claypot version of Hakka Mee. This was very delicious with just the right flavour and also crispy Minced pork. Worth mentioning is also their Barley (Foo Chuk Yee Mai) 4.5 ? dessert which was also very nice... Less Sweet and tastes good.
