Char Siew Wantan noodles at Meng Kee Char Siew’s outlet in Kuchai Entrepreneur’s Park (off Old Klang Road in Kuala Lumpur). Sadly, I’m guessing it’s a case on the kids or relatives living off the founder’s name and skills in producing some of the tastiest “char siew” (BBQ Pork) in Malaysia. The founder and his wife have long retired. My thoughts on the noodles: 1) The noodles “Dead chewy” texture rather than crunchy & bouncy. The flavours are good and “familiar”. Obviously, the family recipe is still being maintained. 2) The famed char siew did taste “correct”. Flavours are it was. However, the portion size is ridiculously small and the meat much drier and lean that during the founder’s time. 3) The wantans were adequate but certainly nothing to write home about. For a place of Meng Kee’s stature, surely not good enough. ? Overall, if I had just walked into “ABC Wantan Noodle Shop”, decent. Knowing this is supposed to be the famous Meng Kee, it’s sad to see the decline in standards. The plate of noodles cost RM7.50. They need to have “plumper” wantans with more filling. The char siew portion needs to be at least 50% larger in size. If it means it’ll cost RM10, so be it. Don’t embarrass the founders or the name Meng Kee. @whiskydev

The price is decent. the noodles still “crunchy” but quite salty u will need to gulp down a liter of water to take off the salty ness. The flavour doesn’t taste as good as before…? Service also slow

An old noodle establishment specialize in wan tan mee. Noodle ? is quite good but the char siew quality seems to be deteriorating of late. There's still quite a bit of loyal following for this shop judging by the morning crowd.

An odd 3star review. Taste great. Probably One of the best char siew in town. But char siew portion is extremely small. Literally just a few bites. Their wonton is also one of the best(in klang valley) very thinly wrap pork meat wonton. Price is considerably ok. But it might dig a bigger hole if you order their apa carte charsiew or fried wonton which the portion is also extremely fine dine serving size Dining area is poorly managed. Better dont look at the kitchen, probably gonna ruin your appetite. Hence better not focus too much on the environment, and just enjoy the meal.

Their Char Siew is nice but definitely not the best in town. The portion very small. We ordered one Big and one Small Char Siew Wanton Mee but seem no different. The plate and cutlery are very dirty too. Btw, the lady boss is very LC.

Food: 0/10 Service: Self-service Those who say this wan tan mee is nice. Their taste buds are rotten. Price-wise is fair because the char siew is very small and little.
