★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ancient sea cave with FOSSILS! I was very excited to see the fossil by my own eyes as this is the first time I saw fossils in Kedah. Gua Kerbau is an ancient cave that lived by the prehistoric "Kedah Men" according to the archeologist (Since Perak has a Perak Men, Kedah should have Kedah Men lah!).
The formation of the cave is very unique as it is formed by the ocean wave! Yes, we are all standing under sea swimming with the ancient marine creatures millions years ago before the sea level receded. Next century, we will be standing under sea again as global warming raise the ocean.
There are some marine fossils can be found easily surrounding the cave, eg Ammonoid, bivalve, etc. It should be well preserved to educate our future generations, but there were serious vandalism happening around the cave. Very weak efforts to preserve and maintain this historical area.
The surrounding area are very pristine and perfect kampung paddy fields with great scenery. I can see huge potential for tourism industry in Kodiang with proper planning and management.
Access to the Gua Kerbau is a bit tricky as there the signboard is misleading and you need to drive through very narrow kampung road. Access from the main Kodiang highway will require visitors to pass through a very narrow kampung bridge too, suggesting to drive carefully as it is only allowed one car to pass. The parking area is limited too.
It is worth to pay a short visit to this ancient cave. Please keep the area clean and tiddy, and please don't write on the "visitor's wall". It is our responsibility to keep these ancient cave for the future generations.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place. Kids and olds friendly. So calm walking around the cave with good pdestrian walk provided. Stops with concrete round table. I suggest visitors to walk through the paddy field. Very nice photo angle with hill and cave background. Thank you to Kedah State for making it a gazetted recreational park. Visitors pls mnd your own rubbish, do not use the dustbin without lid, surely cat will look for food and mess the area. Cats dont have brain, only we people have??
