★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can get really busy on weekend mornings! But while you wait, you can go look around the other pastries in the shop. It's worth the wait, once you get a seat finally. One of their most popular items here is the bak kua bread, which is simple but tastes surprisingly good with the egg and sauce. If bread isn't your thing, you can check out the mee Siam and mee goreng on the shelves, which adds a savoury touch to your brrakfast. There's also sweet colourful jelly that brings back memories of childhood ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came on Sunday morning and it was very crowded although it was raining. Otah bread is the famous one which is really good. Half boiled eggs is good too. The cakes, pastries, Nasi lemak are not too bad too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Coffee good. Must eat the yam cake (rm5) Otak otak bread (rm3.70), ok only as the chili sauce spread on the fried egg took away the otak otak taste. The kaya bread rm2.70) taste better. Environment ok with lots of customers (I was there at 15:39).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Since I've been posting many places in Batu Pahat, I might as well finish posting on all the places that I'd visited throughout my trips there. Many many years ago when I started coming to Batu Pahat on business trip, my customer would bring me here for morning kopi/teh. Until now, Batu Pahat town remains one of my biggest local markets for my product.
So the developer tapao-ed (takeaway) back some Otak-otak bun back to the site one day which instantly triggered my fond memory. I convinced my partner that he should try here at least once.
We arrived some time in the afternoon, around 2.30-3.00pm if I'm not mistaken. For the uninitiated, this is THE place where people converge in the afternoon for their tea time. By far the most popular kopitiam, finding a table require good luck and timing. Lady luck was on my side that day
A word of caution - they are doing brisk business most of the time, and some of them can be grumpy if you try to urge them. Be patient and try to get their attention to come to you.
◾Otak-otak bun - quite unique and so far I only find it in this kopitiam. Otak-otak and fried egg (with chilly sauce) sandwiched in between toasted buns, it was different from the ones you usually eat.
◾Kaya & butter bun - same bun different fillings.. we opted for the traditional way of eating.
◾kopi and teh - true to what my friends told me, Batu Pahat people prefer their kopi or tea to be thinner. I could taste that it was nicely made but I prefer my teh si to be thicker.
We got ourselves from kuih lapis and homemade kaya from the glass cabinets there. The kopitiam also sells homemade cakes and pastries.

Kopi O was really good. Rich and strong favour. Good to kick off the day. WOW. 5 stars
Nasi lemak was delicious. Don't be fooled by its simple outlook. Taste so great. 4 stars
Toast bread with kaya just so so. 2 stars
Half boiled egg was good even I eaten 30 mins later. Cooked to perfection. WOW. 5 stars
Yam cake was good. Recommended as well. 4 stars

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Basic receipe of traditional kaya butter bread not kaya taste, roater white bread not have cripsy and roaster look. Quality are drop, but coffee still acceptable. Food are pricey.
