Best Hostel in Malaysia

Z	Zsóka Kicsiny on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We choose this hostel because of the price, location and the fact that we spent only one night in Tanah Rata. All in all it was alright. We had a room with a private bathroom where the toilet wasn't working properly and the bed sheets had staines. The room was small but nice, the staff was friendly and managed our late check in well, but wasn't available in the morning although previously offered his help to store our luggage after the checkout.
Z	Zack Zumbrock on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had mixed feelings about my stay at CH Travelers Inn. It does the job of a hostel but that's basically it. During check-in, the front desk didn't ask us how long we wanted to stay and only booked one night. We had to tell them we wanted two days and go through payment again. After the first night, all 6 of us we're woken up by a worker early in the morning who was asking us for a key to the room (to this day we still don't know why). We kept asking why we had to give up our keys and he couldn't give us a straight answer. Not all of us had keys in the first place, so if we were to give a key, we would have been left with 2 keys for 6 people. After 10 minutes of going back and forth, another worker came and apologized and it was finished. Then later that day we were on a hike (one person stayed behind in the room) and a worker entered without knocking to deliver a bill for "someone" who didn't pay, despite the fact that all of us paid. We went to the front desk and they couldn't tell us who didn't pay and we assured them we did in fact all pay for two nights. The hostel just seemed completely disorganized and they were not very good with customer service. Like I said it does the job of a hostel as a place to sleep, but that's about it. Would not recommend.
M	Max Lembke on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I stayed here for 3 nights and it was great. The hostel has a chill area and comes with all the amenities needed (towel, blanket, sheets etc.). It's close to all the major restaurants. But best of all, the owner Lucas is amazingly helpful. Showed you the best local restaurants according to your preferences. Further, he gave amazing tips (and a map) for the rest of our journey, which was Georgetown. That's not even all, he gave us his number in case we need any help, recommendation and he even sent a whatsapp to see if we arrived well. A truly amazing and comforting experience. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hostel to any traveler.

However, the receptionist weren't really informative on interesting places to go in the surroundings. Was the only one there in my room, thus not much socialising with other backpackers.
J	J Lim on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had booked a family room for 4. Place is clean,though the bedsheets had some small little stains,one of the wall socket was not working. The price was affordable for a night to stay with shared bathroom,WiFi,4 beds and TV. Good job, keep it up.
A	Asyraf Dahlan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty basic for a backpacker hostel. Although no curtain for bed like some other hostel, less privacy. Free breakfast which is toast and jam, not too bad. Tea and coffee readily available all day long. Receptionist was kind enough to let me stay a couple hour after check out time for my hiking activities.
J	Justin van Schaick on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hostel is new and looks good but they only have one toilet and shower while there are about 8 six person dorms; that's one toilet and shower for 48 guests. Also the condition and comfort of of the bathroom is bad. Another review mentioned bed bugs and I can confirm this; I discovered one on my pillow and another on the wall. The staff immediately spayed and changed the sheets after I reported it and I decided to go to a different hostel. The beds are comfortable and every bed has a small locker, power socket and light (laptops won't fit in the security locker). There's free breakfast (toast with butter and marmelade). Location is good. If they would improve the bathroom and add more, then I would give 4 stars, for now it's 2 stars just because of the bathroom. Bed bugs can happen in any hostel.
