★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very delicious fresh fish. Highlights a very important point in food; if the ingredients are fresh, you don't need to do much. The ingredients simply speaks for themselves. That is the case.
Fresh fish, marinated in turmeric, wrapped in banana leaves, cooked in a large flat pan with a lob of butter thrown on it.
Results: Dull afternoon turned magical and happy for the day. Beware, you'll definitely leave the shop with your hands smelling like belacan (if you eat with your hands) a constant reminder of the wonderful lunch you had today and that nothing else you eat today will ever match up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Previously not a fan. Always went to Mat Teh ikan bakar. But this time just feel like want to eat ikan bakar. Since mat Teh closed on Sunday, so have no choice. But. The taste now changed. Air asam taste great. Ikan taste great. Sambal belacan also nice. Previously air Assam a bit salty.
