surroundings: next to cemetery. hehe. but unique house design.
room: bed is comfortable. aircond cold. no water heater. no tv. kettle, fridge, iron,ironing board at the office. but there is wifi.
advise: the gate is closed because the management dont want the goats to come in. so dont be scared. hehe

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ok for one night. Could be tough for a second night. I recommend this place for a layover if you arrive late to Kota Bahru and you want to take an early boat to Perhentian. The person at the desk was really helpful though. Free water refill there!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sticky floor with very minimal toiletries. Hate to be a prude but it's not somewhere I would come to again because the facilities are really quite bad. No water heater nor a boiling jug although the latter can be obtained from the front desk. One extra star awarded for the friendliness of the local people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I first arrived and saw the flower covered exterior, it looked very promising and inviting, but once we entered, we realized that the inside is very unclean and filled with dead insects spread across the room and beds. There is an ant nest inside the toilet flushing reservoir, so every time the toilet is flushed, a load living insects are flushed directly into the toilet bowl in clumps and you can watch them drown and can't get rid of them. Because every time you flush more and more come out. The towels are covered in brown stains and the bathroom drain is clogged with mud, dirt and sticks.
Luckily we are staying only one single night. The two stars are only because of the nice exterior.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You get what you pay for accommodations.. Basic motel style hotel with the bare minimum.. The rooms are clean but cats are plentiful around.. Do be careful where you step.. Stay on the walkways to avoid the cat poo on the grass sands... There was no hot water shower in our room.. Again, you get what you pay for.. The customer service staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful.. Favourite stop for budget island hoppers..
