Kedudukan Hospital Temerloh adalah di pertengahan Lebuhraya Kuala Lumpur - Kuantan. Lokasinya di Mukim Perak dalam Daerah Temerloh. Dikelilingi taman yang menghijau seluas 44 ekar yang menjadikan ianya menarik dipandang dan tersergam indah.
Pembinaannya dimulakan pada Jun 2002 dan tamat pada 15 Jan 2005 dalam tempoh 34 bulan. Kos pembinaan adalah sebanyak RM 480 juta. Hospital ini dibina bagi menggantikan Hospital Mentakab yang telah beroperasi hampir satu abad lamanya. Peranannya bukan sahaja kepada penduduk di daerah Temerloh malahan menjadi Hospital Rujukan bagi daerah Kuala Lipis ,Raub , Maran ,Bentong ,Jerantut dan Bera.
Perkhidmatan Hospital Temerloh beroperasi secara berperingkat dari Mac 2005 dan sepenuhnya pada 16 April 2005.
Pada Isnin 27hb. Mac 2006 bersamaan 26 Safar 1427H perasmian Hospital Temerloh disempurnakan oleh Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Pahang Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Abu Bakar Ri’ayatuddin Al-Muadzam Shah.
Pada Majlis Perasmian ini Hospital Temerloh diberi penamaan semula sebagai Hospital Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Temerloh.
 Temerloh Hospital is located in the middle of the Kuala Lumpur - Kuantan Highway. It is located in Mukim Perak in Temerloh District.

Temerloh Hospital is located in the middle of the Kuala Lumpur - Kuantan Highway. It is located in Mukim Perak in Temerloh District. Surrounded by 44 acres of lush gardens that make it attractive to look at and magnificent.
Construction began in June 2002 and ended on 15 Jan 2005 in 34 months. The construction cost is RM 480 million. This hospital was built to replace Mentakab Hospital which has been operating for almost a century. Its role is not only to the residents in the Temerloh district but also to be the Referral Hospital for the districts of Kuala Lipis, Raub, Maran, Bentong, Jerantut and Bera.
Temerloh Hospital services will be operational in stages from March 2005 and fully on 16 April 2005.
On Monday the 27th. March 2006 equivalent to 26 Safar 1427H the inauguration of Temerloh Hospital was officiated by His Majesty the Sultan of Pahang Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Abu Bakar Ri’ayatuddin Al-Muadzam Shah.
At the Opening Ceremony, Temerloh Hospital was renamed as Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Temerloh Hospital.
