Approached the counter at 2pm to ask abt hair cutting, one staff told me the barber not available until 330pm. Wandered around for 1.5hrs and told me that need to wait til at least 5hrs. Inconsistent and just wasting my time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went there a couple of days before CNY and seeing that the brand is supposedly reputable, I went to get a touch up on my rebonded hair.
The hairdresser who did my hair looked like he was FORCED to do his job. Did EVERYTHING either half-heartedly or with no heart at all. To ask me to wash hair seemed to take all of his energy and soul. Even while straightening my hair, he actually started toying with his phone. Totally unprofessional. After what seemed like a haphazard session, the outcome was utterly disappointing. The rebonding ended up dry, stiff and frizzy.. Worse than my normal curly hair! I could barely run my fingers through my hair without it getting stuck/tangled. To think I even got charged 20% extra due to it being CNY, only for my hair to end up drier and frizzier than before I stepped into that place. Unless you want such hair, just stay away and go to the other salons beside it. Jean-Yip? Jean-Cheat is more like it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would not recommend this outlet if you don't speak Chinese fluently or English is your main fluency. I decided on Jean Yip as my friends in Singapore reviewed the Singapore stores highly. Big mistake. I clearly stated that I wanted dark ashy lowlights but instead got very warm bright highlights. They then tried to repair with a dark colour to cover the tragic highlights even though they insisted it looked good (it was not what I asked for and it DID NOT LOOK GOOD).
The repair job was done too quickly and haphazardly that it did not sufficiently cover their mistake. I had sat in the chair for 5 hours instead of the expected 2 hours and just wanted to leave before they further ruined my hair.
I ended up paying the full RM228 for cut+colour because I could care less at that point. While the cut of the hair was superb, the bulk of what I paid for was the colour. It did not help that whatever I said to the first hairdresser was miscommunicated to the actual hairstylist who did my hair.
DO NOT LET THEM TOUCH THE COLOUR OF YOUR HAIR unless a tacky DIY dye job is what you are hoping to look like.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst hair salon experience I ever had in my life! I got the wash+cut and 4 step treatment which worked out to be about RM223.
Before getting started, I showed the hair stylist a picture of me with my desired hair length( hair should stop half-way downmy shoulder blade), the hairstylist said okay but I ended up with a shoulder length Bob. He also didn't bother like most hair stylists to ask you 'is this length okay' when working through your hair. Just a snip snap and there lies your large amount of hair on the floor. During the treatment process, he didn't bother to layer the treatment between the various layers of hair which was really annoying cuz the hair stylist beside me was working so diligently on another client's hair with the same treatment. Towards the end, when he was blowdrying and cutting to make sure ur hair is level at all angles and symmetrical, it became pretty apparent to me he can't judge because he would trim my left side, measure, trim the right side, measure, trim the left side and this would carry on for a few times before it's finally symmetrical.
Towards the end when I told the lady at the reception area, she notified the male hairstylist, who doesn't even seem apologetic or even offer a word of apology for screwing my hair. The lady receptionist had to make amendments on his behalf and offered me a bottle of their hair treatment mask. Felt that he's really irresponsible...
Definitely would not recommend the guy hairstylist there!! Seems uninterested in his work. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sporeans, watch out not to be misled that this jb jean yip salon is as good as those outlets of the same name in spore.
Asked for an oxygen Hair treatment. Was served by two ladies who didn’t know how to do a decent massage to my scalp to get the nutrient into the scalp and hair. Worse is after washing off the treatment substance, both didn’t know at all know how to give my hair a simple blow to dry out, not to mention about giving it a simple styling. And yes, they said they are no stylist on duty.
Well true enough, in the whole salon, throughout the whole treatment I saw only just the 3 of us. No other staff. No other customer. I Shd have sensed something wrong before I even walked in for the service.
