It is fun Traveling to Pulau Ketam. This is Small Island with heritage history of Chinese Malaysian. The settlement was established circa 1880 by mainly Teochew and Hakka (Hokkien) Chinese fishermen. According to a local resident, the settlement experienced a population growth during World War II as Chinese from Taiwan fled the attacking Japanese and settled in Pulau Ketam.  You could enjoy variety of Seafood, basic facilities such as bank, post office, school is available. Pulau Ketam is an island at the mouth of the Klang River, near Port Klang, downstream from Kuala Lumpur

The comfortable Ali Baba Ferry Ride made the one hour journey very relaxing. Although the entire PulaubJetam is built on concrete structures, I was indeed impressed with the people folks going about tbrir daily lives, its peaceful and quite well kept. A perfect little get away place from the hustle bustle of the city. Plenty of seafood restaurants too.

Easy for you to find speedboat and ferry. Just ask people around, they will help you. As far as I know, the ferry ticket is 12 to 9 depending on which ferry you choose. And speedboat is 12 for one way. Ferry took about 1 hour and speedboat is 45 minutes to sungai Lima or PUlau Ketam, *depending on the sea level.

This is the landed area after walking on the walkway from the pier. There is a huge Pulau Ketam signboard which is good for photos. Walk through direct to the shops pass the police station from here.

It is a place to relax, comfortable, a lot of restaurants to eat. There are many for you to choose from. Arrived at the island as a community and bicycles are available for rent. or can walk around to pay homage to monks

I had a good time at Pulau Ketam, which consists of biking and eating. Apart from that there isn't really anything else to do here. Considering that it is a fishing village. I biked for about the whole day and memorized the entire town's roads and paths. The food here is quite decent and I enjoy it.

The review is for the whole island and not the jetty only. Its a unique fishing village on an island ? and the uniqueness lies in the fact that almost everything is built on concrete platforms and solidly built. The mode of transport is electrical bikes or bicycles. There are small lanes connecting each part of the constructed area within. Almost everything is cemented and there are no wooden or traditional houses left. The school is quite big and well maintained, other facilities such as bank, mobile network, postal services, etc are also available. Food except seafood is brought from mainland. Good place for a day trip, bring along plenty of water as it can get very hot. Also there is an old aunty selling barley and passion fruit drinks during the weekend. She is very interesting to talk to and can be easily found by her trolley. Do come and visit and support local tourism.
