Perhaps my last time there. Food wise is ok. Suits my taste but the price and portion is staggering. Once ordered extra and that order became permanent. Even telling the lady boss that I just want a single portion, the end result is a thigh plus drumstick and roast meat. Every time I eat there it will costs me anywhere between RM35-45, alone!!! The last time a couple sat next to my table and their bill is just RM25 while mine alone is RM35. Told the lady boss that I just wanted portion for one, she just replied - you can eat one la… so Ciao for now. Not going to patronise anymore

Duck rice is good. But RM10 per plate a bit pricey. 19jan20 second visit. Tried duck drumstick. Very delicious. 3 stars 4mar2022 third visit. Takeaway whole drumstick at RM15. Taste was fantastic but a bit pricey. 4 stars

We heard there can be queues at this place so we arrived at 11.45am. There was no queue but we were allowed to sit and wait while we ordered drinks. We then had to wait half an hour for the duck to arrive (apparently it depends on the day) so this might be the case if you're early like us! Duck rice tasted pretty good when it arrived.

I guess I came quite late... there was a queue so I went to ask the aunty if I needa queue if I eat in? She just asked me how many pax and told me to go sit. (Haha didnt ask me what I want). I ordered a iced passionfruit drink, which was fresh and refreshing. Very unique! After around 10-15 mins, the helper passed me a plate of duck + siow ba rice. (There was nothing on display already at this point of time). Looked very unassuming, but the duck skin was crispy while meat was juicy and tender. The chili sauce complemented the duck very very well. The siow ba is quite average, but still good. Would definitely come back when I'm back in Penang.

I rarely eat inside the restaurant due to beautiful Penang weather. However, everytime when I pass by his shop and I definitely stop by and pick up a few nice cut of roast duck and char siu. The duck is flavorful and not fatty, the char siu is mouth watering, perfect seasoning with slight char on the edges. This is my favorite spot for lunch. Here's my tips, come at 12pm sharp and wait in line. Uncle drives up with his motorcycle and start unloading approximately 20 ducks. Once done, he will scan in with mysejahtera and start serving by 1210pm. 5 ducks already gone by 1230pm. Usually sold out by 2pm. Don't bother come in after 2pm trust me. All in all, I love this place. The uncle is humble and very polite and nice. The price is a bit on the higher side but you get quality food.

Along the Carnarvon street, this shop has been there probably a few decades. It serves one of the best roasted duck in Penang. Skin is crispy with succulent and juicy duck meat, full of flavours. Usually there is quite a long queue, one reason being the quality of food is good, the other reason is due to uncle is old now, his speed of preparing the food has slowed down. The chilli sauce great as well Parking over here can be tricky. I will definitely revisit.

Roasted duck is yummy! Roast pork and chicken just average. The chili sauce also taste good, very match with the dish. Portion is big to 2 of us, so if you are small eater must remind the owner.

Good duck rice is not easy to come by - there will always be some issue with the food, be it duck meat that's too dry, or the lingering smell of the meat, skin not crispy etc. This humble looking shop has proven that duck meat can be done very well, even with local ducks. The proprietor was an apprentice in Hong Kong, apparently, and studied under some chefs there. He brought their methods and secrets with him and now churns out delicious roasted duck rice daily. Finding a place to park is not easy, and unless you're willing to walk a bit, you'll have a tough time obtaining a car park that's really close to the restaurant. On this occasion, I went with three other friends and we were all looking forward to it. A mixed set (comprising roast duck, char siew and roast pork) was ordered along with another ½ duck as well. Service was quick even though the place was full of diners and a string of customers waiting for their take aways. I must say that the duck is good, I can't place whether it was the local ducks used or just the ambience of not being in Hong Kong that was a slight letdown. The char siew and roast pork are above average, but not crucial to the main event. Would I come back? Yes!
