We went from tanah rata to the bharat tea plantation via trail 10 and 6. 10 was quite steepy but not too difficult. There were some signs to guide the way but I would recommend to get the app maps.me The trail is really nice and you might meet some dogs. Don't be scared, they appeared quite friendly to us. Trail 6 was more demanding and slippery. Don't go at a rainy day! Also, it's a bit more hidden (maps! ). You will end up at a beautiful tea plantation. We took a taxi back from there. Don't forget to bring sun blocker. You will not walk in the jungle all the time.

The starting point to the trail is a bit off-putting as is a building site under development. But as soon as you hit the jungle to start the trek you’re fine. Recommended to download maps.me app for trail routes around this area as they are not visible on google maps. Viewpoint is much better at the top of trail 10 than at Gunung Beremban in my opinion. The scenery viewpoint along the trek route are very few because of the jungle. Can hike down via trail 6 which goes through tea plantations (route on maps.me)

We did trail 10 and combined it with trail 6 in February 2020. It was easy to follow the signage of the trail thanks to the red ribbons. We used Maps.me only a few times. The hike is moderate however I recommend you wearing proper trekking shoes and long sleeves and don‘t go when it is rainy as it will be super slippery.

As of 07.02.2022 this trail is no longer hikeable due to the construction site. The caretaker at the gates did not allow us to walk through and he says the construction will take about a year and a half to complete.

This was my favourite part of my entire trip. For anyone who loves to hike, I strongly recommend you venturing to the highlands. There’s about twelve different routes. Number 10 and 4 are the best in my humble opinion. Great picture opportunities along the way.

Started early (~9.30am) to avoid the sun and crowd. Was a misty and mysterious hike up a steep terrain. Lots of roots and trunks to grab on to to aid the hike. Took about 40min to summit! Take the left clearing up to the teleomm tower after you reach the clearing! Then take the slopes up to the real summit where you will see the boulder with Pahang inscribed.

Cameron Highlands had an amazing network of hiking trails ten years ago, in typical Malaysian short sightedness many of them are now blocked or closed off for new pointless development - including this one. CH is becoming a tacky, dirty and chaotic area - the real charm of this area was the nature and clean environment, but as you can't monetize this the government does not care. Many of the previously published 14 hiking routes are now closed off... but hey, there is a tacky butterfly farm, a pointless lavender farm where you can indulge in selfies, a big new shopping centre completely empty of shops....

You're not allowed to go through the construction site anymore. We also tried to access from another part of the trail but I think cause of erosion you can't proceed anymore. Most trails are closed now due to the rainy season
