★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing Greek & Egyptian food with friendly service. The Beef Moussaka is perfect comfort food. The souvlarki was perfectly marinated & had a nice bite to it. Definitely coming back to try their Saturday specials.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We saw some people on FB>Expats KL site discussing Kalamata restaurant! A review article was referenced I think by a lady I know.
I love Greek food and my wife (a local Malaysian) has never had Greek food before.
Easy to find in Sri Hartamas the atmosphere was authentic and relaxed with a friendly and knowledgeable host, Mannix!
The food started coming out bit by bit which was perfect (the order of this was refreshingly accurate not random as usual) and from the start it was beautiful and tasted fantastic. Our host explained it all without imposing.
From soups to Egyptian falafels to hummus to goats feta Greek salad to grape vine leaves (cooked!? That was a first!) and a complimentary dessert biscuit with fruit preserve and halloumi cheese!!
Omg it was a superb experience with great host and food! 1000% recommended! Compliments to the chef, too!

Ivon & Catherine enjoyed this place, Kalamata totally. Far better than we imagined.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hartamas' new best kept secret! A totally unassuming restaurant that will blow your socks off. Every dish was pleasantly surprising. For example, the falafel immediately puts to shame all other falafels in KL. The dumplings had a three dimensional flavour to them, with the richness of the sauce perfectly complimenting the savoury filling and the tang of the yoghurt sauce. A must try!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were looking for Greek food in Klang Valley, and found this lovely gem in Hartamas. The claypot moussaka with soft pita bread and Greek salad is highly recommended. Will return to try their lamb :) Kalamata Cafe is an Egyptian-Greek restaurant just next to Mr. Lim restaurant (just go up the stairs leading the Ancient Thai spa)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have not had this grape leaf wrapped rice after Greece, was happy to get it in KL finally.
Falafel and lamb dishes were great too, we found the lamb souvlaki especially succulent. The off menu juices - apricot & grape - were refreshing on a hot day.
Owners - Mannjx and Yoyo were really nice and friendly too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered for delivery and the staff went extra miles for me to get my orders done for my iftar! ?? The food was so tasty. The moussaka was so creamy and delicious it's on another level! The chicken was so tender and juicy and the yogurt flavour complimented well with the rice and the chicken. I'm so happy with the taste and the service. Will definitely go for dine in soon. Highly recommended!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After many years of searching, to no avail, a dear friend managed surprise me this year for my birthday by finding a Greek restaurant in KL! Well, almost.. Kalamata serves a variety of Greek and Middle Eastern dishes and I almost don’t want to share this because I loved how quiet it was when we were there for lunch. Jojo, one of the co-owners also mentioned that we can order off menu items if we want so I’m definitely going to do that next time. I have a list of a Greek food that I have been craving for years!
