If not for the covid-19 pandemic, this facility would have been completed much earlier. This complex is the culmination of the story of "The Kampung Boy", Lat's famous masterpiece which was based on his own life during early childhood. It was written in Kuala Lumpur when he was feeling terribly homesick, and he drew the whole book with livid details of every parts of the house just from memory. Eventhough the book was translated into various foreign languages and became a major bestseller overseas, the fans kept asking about THE house...therefore, the completion of this house will be a fitting tribute to the life and legacy of Lat, the most successful cartoonist Malaysia has ever produced...
