I've frequented this rojak since childhood. Whenever my parents go to Kuala Pilah they'll buy this rojak. Everyone raised in Kuala Pilah must know this rojak. The name rojak Ibrahim is quite new to me because I only know this rojak as rojak Pilah. What makes it so special? The kuah (peanut sauce) of course. IMHO almost all rojak ingredients are the same. You get slices of fried tofu, "kuih" (fritters), shredded cucumber, turnip and finally a dollop of sweet and spicy peanut sauce. The only difference is in the kuah. It has a distinct flavor and appearance. Other kuah is reddish in color and thick but this kuah is a bit yellowish and IMO resembles kuah dhal in consistencies and appearance. But appearance can be deceiving. Give it a try and I bet that you can taste it's difference and uniqueness. The business is in it's third generation. The grandfather started the business in the 30's by selling it in a cart. In the 50's his son took over and set up the joint. Now his grandchild is continuing the rojak business and the business has been thriving. If you like rojak, you should give it a try. Ask the local for their favourite rojak and I bet you they will definitely mention this rojak. If they didn't, they're not from Kuala Pilah.

We drop by to try the rojak and cendol. Taste good especially if you eat during sunny and hot day. They said your visit to Kuala Pilah is not complete if you did not try their daging and itik salai, and rojak ibrahim. So all checked.
