★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Actually the restaurant name is MAT JENG,it's a small restaurant, located exactly in front of Kuala Terengganu specialist hospital(new)and besides the permai hotel. Recommended for soup tolang(bone soup)and Nasi daging. Looks a bit unmanaged but the service is good ,quick and fast, the whole family is very nice who is running the restaurant. Owner by self serving the orders,prices are low compare to food quality and taste. It's packed on every afternoons. Wheelchair accessible,parking is not available few times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located next to permai inn hotel, opposite KTS hospital. You won't miss it if you can locate KTS hospital from afar as no much tall building around this area. Food served here, famously laksam terengganu, nasi minyak gulai daging or ayam (daging my fav). Nasi dagang not the best in town but that'll do for most tourist. This stall has been here for quite sometimes and known to locals. Food can be sold out pretty quick so make sure you visit before dinner. Opens at 3pm and close somewhere between 10pm to 11pm.
