β β β β β Biro Tatanegara (BTN) merupakan sebuah organisasi kerajaan yang ditubuhkan pada tahun 1974 di bawah Program Belia dan dikenali sebagai Unit Penyelidikan Belia, Kementerian Kebudayaan, Belia dan Sukan. Pada peringkat awal penubuhannya, pejabat jabatan ini terletak di Wisma Keramat, Kuala Lumpur.
Pada Oktober 1981, Unit Penyelidikan Belia ini telah diletakkan terus di bawah Jabatan Perdana Menteri (JPM) selaras dengan penstrukturan semula jabatan ini. Ibu Pejabat Unit Penyelidikan Belia, Jabatan Perdana Menteri ini kemudiannya dipindahkan ke Jalan Kelantan, Kuala Lumpur.
Pada Jun 1982, unit ini telah ditukar nama kepada Biro Tatanegara, Jabatan Perdana Menteri. Tiga cawangan BTN telah diwujudkan merangkumi cawangan zon utara, selatan dan timur. Seterusnya pada tahun 1983, BTN telah dipindahkan ke bangunan JKR 742, Jalan Bellamy, Kuala Lumpur. Mulai tahun 1987, BTN cawangan negeri telah diwujudkan. Sehingga kini BTN mempunyai empat belas (14) buah cawangan negeri dan tujuh belas (17) buah Kem Bina Negara serta sebuah akademi iaitu Akademi Kenegaraan.
 The Bureau of Foreign Affairs (BTN) is a government organization established in 1974 under the Youth Program and is known as the Youth Research Unit, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. In the early stages of its establishment, the office was located in Wisma Keramat, Kuala Lumpur.
In October 1981, the Youth Research Unit was placed directly under the Prime Minister's Department (JPM) in line with the restructuring of the department. The headquarters of the Youth Research Unit, the Prime Minister's Department, was later relocated to Jalan Kelantan, Kuala Lumpur.
In June 1982, the unit was renamed the Bureau of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister's Department. Three BTN branches have been established covering the northern, southern and eastern zone branches. Later in 1983, BTN was relocated to the JKR 742 building, Jalan Bellamy, Kuala Lumpur. From 1987, the state branch BTN was established. To date, BTN has fourteen (14) state branches and seventeen (17) National Buildings Camps and one Academy, National Academy.
