★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My first time visit to Kimarie Sri petaling for restyling of my hair. Evon Chan the lead stylist attended to me. Such a nice, warm and friendly stylist. She checked my scalp and recommend me and teach me how to take care of my oily and dandruff scalp. She double checked and confirmed again before cutting my hair. To make sure I really prefer short or to keep my hair. Attentive, patient and good in her customer service. Will come again for her haircut.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Previously I’m customer at puchong branch, since my hairstylist (Evon) transfer to sri petaling branch, I follow her and continue my hairstyling. She very professional to advise me on the hair style, treatment and how to maintain my hair well. Highly recommended her cause she very patience and friendly =D

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been considering whether or not I should write this review a few months after I had gotten my haircut, but after much thought, I feel I should voice my dissatisfaction. Please know that I've been coming to Kimarie for years and ever since their BTS outlet closed, I decided to give this one a go. I showed Yen a photo of what I wanted, telling her to keep it long, add a little bit of layers and to not thin it. I have naturally wavy hair and was a bit apprehensive about getting a new stylist to handle my hair but the salon assured me she was the best with the clients.
In summary, Yen completely butchered my hair. =( It looked nothing like the sample. In fact, it looked nothing like how a *good* hairstyle should look. The ends were thinned out, scraggly like a rat's tail. It had a hard V shape at the end, where in the photo it had soft, rounded layers. It was also thinned in weird places, like near the nape of my neck. I had specifically told her NOT to thin it out because my hair doesn't look good like that. When she blow dried it and curled it, I knew it looked off but I couldn't tell what...I left the salon thinking maybe I was worrying too much.
Once I washed my hair, it looked so...unpleasant. Again, some parts were thin, tapered, frayed. I'm not a professional so it is hard to describe how ugly it looked but I know a bad cut when I see it. And that is what it is.
I don't know if it's the language barrier (she's chinese educated) or if she didn't feel comfortable asking me to repeat myself? But I felt so insecure and sad about how my hair looked for months...Perhaps she is used to cutting straight hair. And perhaps I am a bit superficial, but my hair is my pride and joy.
I apologise for taking so long to speak up about this, because I know she must have put in hard work to cut people's hair. But I will never come here again.

I’ve been getting different salons to service my hair as I have never gotten any exceptional service before with the previous (always burning my scalp during the process/charge me a bomb at the end of the service)
My stylist understands my needs, provide the price honestly, gave an exceptional service and got them a long term customer.
Jia Wen is not the most senior/head stylist. But her vast experience of almost 10 years is all that you need. She was even able to fix my messed up hair and gave a great trim(I thought I have to cut down a lot of hair to save my hair).
Thank you my stylist, keep up the good job ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came because of the high rating and good reviews, but to my surprise its actually because they offer RM5 discount if u leave them a review on the spot when paying. Hair cut was fine but the lead stylist did not choose a hair colour suitable for me and made my face appear pale and yellowish. Kept trying to sell me all sorts of products and treatments and package also.

It took roughly 4 hours and I’m the last to leave ? it started with a consultation and prices are laid down, where I was given a sample book to choose the colours. overall, I love the ambiance and the care given by my stylist Yen , she taught me how to blow dry my hair at home, and I am given a total makeover ❤️ Look at the before and after!!
