★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I must be a regular to "King's Confectionery @ Sri Gombak"?? for almost 20 years. 03/09/2019 - about 9.00 pm. I went into the place to choose a birthday cake. I was taken by surprise to see that the place arrangement looked a lot different than it supposed to be - it's not looking good - it looked very messy. I also noticed that the management team has changed, I saw 2 stickers of 30% off pasted on the glass at the "small sized" cakes. So I asked the person in charge (all Malays - which is quite odd) and was told that there is a discount for small sized cakes. So I took the Blueberry Cheese (small sized) only to find out that the discount was meant for Walnut Cake. I ended up paying in full (quite hefty for a moderate person like me) - this really have dissapointed me and I feel cheated. I think what should have been done is the sticker of the so called 30% discount should be written on the "discounted cake" itself (walnut) and NOT on the glass without any indication - which cake? I don't think the previous management King's Confectionary would have done that to me. My 2nd dissapointment is there is no "birthday decor" being sold - not even a baloon. Am I right to assume that this is NOT King's Confectionary? (I still see King's logo on the birthday cake box). Whatever or whoever they are, I am not returning to this dreadful place anymore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oldest bakery in tmn Sri Gombak. Friendly receptionist and value buy bun. Taste wise probably not comparable with top notch bakery, but acceptable
