For a free museum, this museum delivers both quality and quantity aspect. They has has many illustrations and mannequins to help in portraying the tin mining history but in the same time, it is compact with details. You can walk around the museum too see the tin miner lifestyle and technology of tin mining. Besides that, the guard of this museum is talkative and friendly towards visitors.

Gotta appreciate the effort to curate and preserve a moment in time when tin mining was the mainstay of the local economy. Good exhibits and great deal of info to absorb. Can get a little warm especially the upper floor at the back which displays some historical mining documents. All this for a token sum of RM5/adult and RM2/child. Add RM1 to feed the fishes at the pond.

It's a private museum. Rm5 per entry for adult. It's good to know the history of tin mining which basically kick started Malaya economy and until now, still holding the record of No. 1 tin mining industry in the whole world. Guided tour is an extra here because the staffs would approach u to give u the tour if they're not busy with other chores. U r lucky if u r approached with 1. My tour guide is Pow, an intern doing his internship with the mine museum. Good effort from him. Oh yeah, u can try mendulang here. It's fun. Definitely a yes go esp for family and for the knowledge.

Worth the time here, they have very detailed introduction of the history and background of Kampar and the Tin industry during the old times. They even have all the records, contract documents and engineering drawings (hand-sketch). Very enjoyable if you wish to explore the history of the Mining industry.

Lots of photos and display. Interesting but confuse about process of mining tin and making tin. Display and photos not in order or explain in sequence. Entrance fee reasonable.

A small museum but the contents give a fairly good reflection of how tin mines in Malaysia were managed and operated from the perspectives of the owners, the workers and the govt, including when Malaysia was ruled by the Nipppn Govt.

History of tin mining during the early days is exhibited here. Very interesting and informative on how tin mining begins. Worthwhile to visit this museum for a small entrance fee. RM5.00 per adult and children up to age 17 is only RM2.00 per child.
