Still a beautiful and educational place to visit for its amazing nature scenes. However, there is a lack of maintenance, that some part or the park is closed due to unsafe pathway. It would be nice that those maintenance can be done soon and the pathway to be reopened again.

For nature lovers and photographers, this is a fine place to actually capture some beautiful photos of the lives living here. Boat ride is about RM5 and entrance is about RM5. Two routes to choose from 1KM or the 1.7KM.

Good for school trip. You can learn more about mangrove forest. But be careful with the monkeys cause they might stole your foods. You can enjoy sight seeing 4 ft.

Very cool remote island. You get to see the floras and founas in the swamp area. Both the Sungai Ular and sea tide are deep and high so don't get yourself into trouble. You need to take a boat to this jetty. For boat fees, please be sure to tell you're M'sian or get charged as Singaporean rate.

The trip began with boarding a boat from a jetty that adjacent with a seafood restaurant in Kukup. We paid RM5 per adult for return boat trip to Kukup Island. Children are exempted from charges. The boat was in good condition and it had ample of life vest for all people. The boat trip took about 5 - 8 minutes. The sea breeze was relaxing and a joy to experience, especially for the kids who has limited experience and minimal contact with nature and adventures. When we arrived at Kukup Island jetty, we straight bought tickets of admission. They charged us RM5 per adult and RM3 for children of 6 years old and above. The staff there advised us to leave all the food to avoid any unwanted incident with the monkeys. They safely guarded our food in their office. We strolled into the mangrove forest with amaze feelings and sometimes proud of the initiative to preserve it. There were many signage of crucial information about mangrove. You could see many signage of corporate giants and government bodies indicating that they took part in re-planting the mangroves in this forest. We climbed the spiral Stairway to Heaven and immortalized ourselves in still photos and videos along the boardwalk and pavilion. We met the the monkeys. They were so many. We did not provoke or intimidate them. The result, they let us passed in peace. The stroll took about 3,000 steps approximately. We endured the leaning boardwalk on our way back to the Kukup Island entrance. We collected our food back, bid our farewell and thanks to the staffs and finally made a call to the boat company to come and fetch us. It was an eye-opening trip and we showed to our kids that life is way more larger and definitely more exciting than the phone and tablet screen. They were so happy and thrilled with the adventures.
