★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice waterfalls for the family.. Not too far from the parking area.. Under refurbishment right now but the waterfalls are still accessible.. The authorities are building toilets and gazebos... Rubbish bins should be scattered more around the place and collected regularly... Once refurbishment is complete, this would be a good weekend retreat.. Only three hours from KL...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lata Meraung @ Screaming Waterfall -
Adjacent to Sungai Kiol (Orang Asli Village) in the Jerantut Reserve Forest, about 16km from Jerantut Town and 210km from Kuantan, the capital city of Pahang Darul Makmur.
To reach the waterfall need to walk a few hundred metres from parking space through the bridge, walkway and some stairs. Thereabouts a facilities available like parking area, prayer room, toilet/bathroom, hut/booth for rest, suspension bridge and camping site. It's a secluded waterfall that's comfortable for leisure, recreations and outdoor activities like hiking/jungle walk, picnicking or camping.
The waterfall's not big but very scenic, the water flows down from the rocks in a several streams. There's a nice pool/pond for bath and swimming at the bottom. Some areas upwards are quite deep, steep, slippery and therefore patentially dangerous, need to be careful. 'Safety First'. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is abandoned and has not been taken care of for quite some time. Despite the not so well maintained Taman Eko Rimba, you can still go to the waterfall (around 5-10mins walk from car). Went there on a Tuesday evening, had the place entirely to ourselves. Magnificent waterfall, crystal clear water.
Note that it's in a very secluded area, we had to drive by villages of the indegenious, rubber plantation, banana plantation, and oil palm tree plantation to get there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From main road access passes by oil palm Estate and Orang Asli Villages about 7km to reach car park then walk 100m. This place has been long not doing maintainance, broken bridge fencing, dirty toilet and rubbish everywhere. Indeed the Waterfall is beautiful and water is clear. Only the nearby residents come here to play.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reachable by car passing through villages and plantations. The waterfall is about 100m walk from the car park. The place is not maintained. Rubbish everywhere. The waterfall itself is nice and I considered easy to navigate. I have no problem to bring my kids to the water falls. Do enjoy it and will go back again.
