Free access by track (around one hour). Don't care about what the boats honer say, it's always open !
Be careful, the track is a bit rough. Don't do it with 20 kg on the back.
Can also go by boat (my favourite way to do) 50 MYR for a boat to share for one way. Don't go to the last counter in front of the street, if they can, they charge more (last customers payed 50 each for one way !!!!). It's 50 one boat, not one person. Preferably the counter on the side (Azmy company is my favourite. At the end on the right).

You plan to stay a day or two. And before you know it a week or two have passed.
Great cook there too who will help you if you have specific requirements.
I am a vegetarian and he just went around making this whole new meal just for me.

โ โ โ โ โ Nice people, goods food had a fried fish with rice and salad for 7 ringit really enjoyed, I twisted my ankle hiking and the people looked after me to make sure I was okay. Just on monkey beach nice place to wonder have a swim. Take in the stun or just rest up and have a beer
