β β β β β We have visited this place to file our income and tax payments. This being our first time, we had to generate a income tax number. Our company has provided a EA form , stating the income and tax paid by them. Along with this form, original passport and xerox copy of passport , we reached the place. Steps followed:
1. Create tax number (4th floor)
2. Generate a pin for e-filling (4th floor)
3. Complete e-filling process (7th floor), receive acknowledgment form.
4. If any dues, pay it. (4th floor)
People at the office are very polite and helpful. Thatβs how we could survive with not even a single signboard in English. Although itβs crowded, the entire process took around 2 hours.
This procedure is only for first timers, once we have pin generated, e-filing can be done from home.
Second visit to the tax office :
This time we visited to collect our tax returns of previous year , as we have become tax resident now, ie completed 182days of stay in Malaysia. We have carried full passport xerox, EA form of last year, acknowledgement form of tax filing and any bills for tax exemption. Go to 4th floor, collect a token from the information desk and wait for your number to be called. Later at the counter, officer collected all the details from us and asked us to wait for 2-3 months for the refund. If there is any further delay, they have given a mail-id to check the status .

β β β β β Experienced n helpful tax officers to help you on Level 4. Make sure your documents are complete before visiting the department. Tax refund is always fast too. Do your duty as a citizen of the country.
Parking is a real hassle coming to this area. Would suggest you take Grab here rather than self drive.

β β β β β Located at level 4. We visited to get our pin number generated for 1st time e-filing registration. Counter lady was really nice and efficient. We didnβt even have to wait. We just brought along our IC and she generated the pin. Thatβs itβ¦ took less than 10mins ? better to visit your local branch than submit your form online ??ββοΈ
