β β β β β Did an online passport renewal and had to take my own pic (self paid). But when I went to collect the passport, I was instructed to take a picture again on site (no explanation given as to why my original uploaded picture wasn't used). So, I had to wait 30mins extra. Also, the officers were just calling names over their counters which was very difficult to hear especially since the place is quite noisy.

β β β β β Was there 4/7/2018, Wednesday, arrived at 1440hrs, received my passport , both son(8yrs) & daughter(1half yrs) passports at 1645hrs. Counter no2 & no8 was friendly & helpfull with my two kids. Its very difficult to took photo of my daughter ?, Thanks counter no 2 staff. Counter no8, awesome dude, nice to meet u. TOTAL of 2 HOURS for me & my both kids, 1ST TIME DO PASSPORT. JOBS WELL DONE ??

β β β β β Reached at 7am, queued in line. About 5 people ahead of me. Exactly at 7:30am, office opened. Took my number and did all the process and payment by 8am, was asked to come back at 9am for passport. Left for breakfast, came back and took number for collection. Dropped receipt at counter 8 box. Got my passport immediately. Efficient and smooth process.
Tip : Have a photocopy of your IC just in case you Chip is damaged.

β β β β β Please take note, collection for online passport renewal is only available on weekdays even though the collection date advised by the system could be a weekend. Reached there at 8am, took the number and also they'll still need to take my photo again although I've submitted online. Got my new passport around 930am. The officers there are quite friendly and helpful.

β β β β β I am impressed, got my passport within 2 hours. Sorry to say but my previous experiences at government department is way more.
7:20am arrived. Got number 18.
8:00am my turned. Thumb print/photo shot.
8:15am paid. Got the time to get number for passport collection.
9:15am got the number - 4 persons in front of me.
9:25am got the passport.
The officials are shouldering very serious job here, so you can't compare them to normal service line that serve you. Its understandable that they will be more serious than friendly - they are officials. Thumbs up for them !

β β β β β According to the security of Immigration department, the operation here had stopped for 2 years +, before MCO. There is no officers here. For passport related issues, kindly proceed to UTC Komtar. Thank you.

β β β β β (29/10/2019) I already renew my passport online, but after reading a few reviews here, I decided to come early to pick up my passport since I'm aware my picture probably need to be retake
- Arrived at 7.19 am (seem like more than 30 people in front of me)
- No received - 7.52 am #2003 (if u renew online your number #2xxx / if not your number #1xxx, so I'm person no 3 for online)
- They directed me to counter No 8 and put my old passport + IC + online receipt in the basket then they called my name to take picture at counter no 1
- Get my passport at 8.40 am! Super fast !!!!

β β β β β Morning session only 180 applicants considered n in the afternoon another 90 applicants will be processed. Get ready to wait n wait. Met two helpful officers who provided valuable guidance. Building bulges with people sitting n standing everywhere. Worse, old n sickly applicants are left standing in the sun waiting n queuing from 1-2.15 pm. Surely, the system can be improved n overhauled. Numbers could be issued within the building at 12.30 pm for the afternoon session so people need not stand in the sun n rain. Masyarakat penyayang tidak diutamakan.
