- one of the oldest roadside food stalls in KL (i first had it 25years ago) - short waiting time for seat and food - clear, straightforward menu. tourist-friendly - porridge is still as tasty after many years - steamed chicken is equally good. gravy used to be thicker though. remember to pour a bit into the porridge, it's their signature style - fried intestines is a must to go with the porridge. not so with the fried fritter - remember to order the beef noodles too from soong kee. good to see the neighbours partnered up - noodles portion used to bigger - tastes good but was better - soup used to be dark brown. and it was certainly better - highly recommended for tourists and locals. a gem in KL dining scene

Have to say, by far this the best porridge i've tried so far. The porridge stall share the shop as soong kee beef noodles.was there around 7.30pm it was already packed with diners. Order the plain porridge with the sashimi and a portion of poached chicken. Every item was on point except that the sauce for the chicken was a bit too salty. In total, paid 14.5rm for meal including a drink.

What can I say! I have been enjoying their porridge since my college days. I still remember that each time we had a late class, we will always drop by here for dinner. Even after more than 2 decades, their porridge remained the same. The chicken is still oh so juicy and tender. The hot steaming broth and the ultra quick service really brought back a lot of memories. Nowadays, I rarely bother to drive when I come to the city. Each time I want some comfort food, I just hop on a train and come here for the porridge.

Best porridge in KL. Only RM6 then you can have a big bow of porridge and a dish of chicken. They also have fish. But the chicken is the star. The sauce for the chicken is amazing, it make the chicken soft and sweet. I came there and order extra herb but they didn’t charge me any extra money. The porridge has the sweetness from the chicken. Just perfect for me. Very very worth to come and try. Owner and staffs also friendly and fast service. 10/10

All time favourite porridge with raw fish slice(生鱼片) + fried pork intestines Old school & hidden gem porridge shop in KL city, not many tourist. They been serving porridge for many years in the beef restaurant. Disadvantage: no Car park available here!!!! So better come at night and park at the roadside.

Mom introduce me here says they are famous for their porridge. Shes not wrong, the porridge is tasty but not MSG tasty, you can taste that they boil the porridge with chicken bones but its not overpowering, its just nice. And the chicken meat is tender and sauce is perfect. I used to only like eating chicken from Kar Heong but after this bye bye Kar Heong, hello Yau Kee.
