★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is good but slightly overrated. You may run into a queue and need to wait for a table. Staff can be brisk and less welcoming sometimes. Note worthy dish includes the Nasi Bojari.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Petai fried rice was so salty and didn't have any protein in it. Definitely not worth the price. Nasi lemak was just okay, fish and chips looked weird and drinks were tasteless.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place serves authentic Malaysian cuisine! The food was sooo good that we over ate ?
1. Chicken Chop with mushroom sauce and fries - crumb fried chicken (was slightly on the oily side)
2. Otak otak - minced fish paste, spiced and grilled in a banana leaf
3. Chicken satay with peanut sauce - this was not another grilled chicken skewer with peanut sauce. The peanut sauce is nothing like I have ever had, a really thick dip. The dish also came with freshly cut pineapple, cucumber and rice cakes
4. Char kway teow - sooo delicious loaded with chicken, prawn, and squid and can easily be shared by two
5. Kung poa chicken (the best that I have had really)
6. Kopi ais / Local coffee - coffee with condensed milk, coffee extract and ice ?

✅ Meal for two - RM 157
✅ Really helpful staff members who help you choose your dishes and keep you updated on the menu
✅ We also noticed that the tables are being sanitised and only people who have been vaccinated and competed temperature checks are allowed into the restaurant!
Can’t wait to go back again! Who doesn’t love a good home style food ❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered the nasi lemak curry chicken Rm24.90 and beef rendang Rm26.90, garlic choysum Rm20.90, wanton soup Rm24.90, mineral water Rm4.90, barley with lime Rm8.90.
The waiting time was more than anticipated eventhough the restaurant was not fully occupied. The waiter is seemingly unorganized as they only came to informed that they ran out of 'rice' for the chicken rice after they've started serving out the dishes.
Food taste was okay-ish and the portion was a little tad considering the hefty price tag.
Overall experience was sort of okay, didn't really know how to put things into word but it's safe to say that if you're planning to bring a guest to impressed it's probably best to give this a skip.

Madam Kwan is still where they used to be just outside Food Republic and the crowd....we came here to meet up friends visiting from East Malaysia. Madam Kwan is a good option to introduce food that are native to KL folks to visitors.
Food wise, good that it tasted still as good but portion seems growing smaller. The food serving used to be fairly generous.
Service, I think for a busy branch, they are short of servers and the servers are so in a hurry all the time but the plus point is food came out real quick. Like everything is so fast pace ???
