โ โ โ โ โ Saw this building while on a walking tour of the city back in Feb. The Muar Syariah Court is a heritage building in the royal city of Johor Bahru thatโs heavily influenced by European architecture. Built during the days of the British Empire, this building is built with Neoclassical and Renaissance features, with only the roof demonstrating any link with South East Asia. The building used to house the High Court of Muar, but is no longer used for that function. Not sure what itโs used for now and thereโs a guard at the entrance preventing public access.
This is a nice landmark building and although itโs not a standout building, the architecture stands in interesting contrast to other buildings in the city.
