★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely a good place. But the management can't standardize the ladies night free flow timing on Wednesdays and parking of rm8 flat rate definitely contradicts. Good drinks , awesome band. Management part needs improvement.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the few places where one can enjoy the sunset view. The outdoor area by the pool is quite small, so need to arrive early to grab the best spot in order to enjoy the sunset view. I was there around six, only two spots left, so I managed to get a seat, and enjoyed the cocktail, breeze, music, sunset, trendy people and laughter.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for chilling and dips in the pool. Wouldn't say they have good view since its been blocked by buildings. Be sure to stop by for daily happy hour. Highly recommend nachos and mai tai princess! They goes very well with each other by the pool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Aloft Hotel Rooftop Bar (Mai Bar) is a friendly bar with an amazing view. Despite reading some not so favourable comments.. I would like to review this place as a Business Traveller. Firstly I do agree that the place is usually empty (I have been here many times) and food is on the pricey side. However this is balanced by the super friendly staff and people there which I believe will make up for this. Food is also average and nothing much to shout about. I had Satay which was really only so so.
Well as to the 5 ? rating... I believe the customer service and staff service really made up for everything negative about the place.. Everyone was so cheerful and friendly. I personally love this place as with most Aloft hotels, it has business travellers in mind.
The good:
This place even has a smoking zone near the pool.. unlike many hotels. Well that said their sister hotel Le Meridien Sentral also has a smoking zone near the pool. This itself deserves a mention as with many Aloft around Asia, most has smoking zones.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As I was up here there were actually hardly any people which made it a bar with no atmosphere, but that is with every place that is not crowded. The drinks were cheaper during happy hours. Music was a bit loud, but that was may be because it was nearly empty.
The views are fantastic and the pool looks extremely inviting. I dont know if you are allowed in the pool if you are not a hotel guest but I think no one asks you anything as long as you order a drink. On those hot days in Kuala Lumpur it is definitely worth having a drink up here if you can also cool down in the pool. If there is no pool access it is probably a great event location or a place to go to if you are not looking for a crowded venue. I enjoyed my time up here, staff was friendly, drinks were good, price are not too much!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Prices were quite high but that would be fine given the location. The food however was the most tasteless I've had in all of KL. We tried 2 types of dishes and all were not only undersalted but they were so stingy with the meat that the texture was just as monotonous as the flavour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was very bad, very very dry, and very expensive(but what do we expect, it's a hotel in KL sentral). Tables and seats were very uncomfortable, unless if you sit by the pool (which is super sunny and hot). However, staff's service is good.
