Special Special Credit and Thank you to Tilek and all the service staff of Makan Kitchen from the front liners to the kitchen staff for their wonderful smile and excellent service. Its true what they say leader lead by example. The food is delicious , the ambiance is superb but the service tops it all.. Look forward coming again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have always been a fan of makan kitchen. Love the Vege menu. Not bad actually. I've alway given makan kitchen a 5 star rating on grab food. After becoming a regular, I was given free drinks. A constructive feedback of not placing the cold drinks together with the hot food did not go down well with the management and the drinks stopped. Found it very immature. After a long gap, I decided to order again today for lunch. Placed my order yesterday evening for lunch at 12. Received my food at 12.44 and my Vege fish was missing. I did not receive my food. Very disappointed with makan kitchen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place serves THE BEST tasting international buffet in Johor Bahru!
The staff are polite and very attentive, food freshly made, taste wise so flavourful - the Malay section is superbly authentic tasting with my favourite Assam Pedas Oxtail and best hotel’s Satay Beef. At the Chinese section without fail, I will go for their double boiled soup if the day, clear broth packed with a burst of flavour of being simmered over slow fire several hours. And for the Indian section, don’t forget to taste their dhal and naan.
Hands down this is the place to come for a celebration!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wanted to treat myself and my mom to a buffet dinner for my birthday last week. After hearing reviews from friends and online alike, I went for it. I didn't go with high expectations, but what I experienced there was even lower that what I have expected. None of the food was even passable. Each item I took, was a disappointed after another. Your fresh seafood wasn't fresh at all, the clams was revolting. I could describe every item in detail on how bad it was, but I don't this would be a suitable platform.
All I know is that I regret coming for my birthday dinner to Makan Kitchen, spoiled my day! Shouldn't a high end hotel restaurant keep up with your quality? How can you go wrong with Malaysian food? And it wasn't cheap either. I feel cheated of my money, it was so not worth for the price paid.
Despite all that, my compliments to your friendly & hospitable staff, they were the only saving grace that night.
This is my first time writing such a bad review anywhere, because I think you should use this review and strive to do better. Thank you.

A very good hospitality , nice ambiance with plenty of local delights and the food is really good.
special credit for mr raj, mr roy , pugal ,meena and the juice bar staff fahrul..looking forward for another visit soon €

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I popped in for the mee rebus as my fav restaurant was closed for a revamp. On ordering I surmised that perhaps the restaurant wasnt quite ready for customers. Anyways, my order was taken and I was served with a small bowl of chicken soup. Which was a nice touch. But it should have tasted far better.
The mee rebus arrived much sooner than expected so I happily dove head-first. The gravy was just too bland, lacking flavour. The poached egg looked good but that was the extent of the dish. There was some hard something or other in it that was totally inedible. But I was hungry and wolfed the edible stuff down. I sincerely hope the food quality improves sooner than later.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most food are not really warm. There is wide selection of choice and the dining area is spacious. Each guest is given a voucher to eat half a lobster. Overall good service by staff.
Can enjoy 50% off on the parking fee.
Rm180++ per pax.
