A small French-themed patisserie offering a small menu with high turnover. Some might question the menu, but if you understand fine dessert, you'd realise it means the pastry chef pays more attention on each piece. Looking at the fruit tarts, the way those raspberries are laid down looking effortlessly effortful - what a beauty. You cannot compare this quaint shop to the likes of Secret Recipe or other cafés as that'd be like comparing apples to oranges. This is in a different class. Small and impressive restraint packing a punch full of flavours We had canelé, lemon tart, opera cake, Absolute Chocolate cake, and black coffee Canelé - Never tried one before so I only know what I read. I guess the shell was done right but there's a big air pocket in ours and there's no custard-like inside. I wonder if it is meant to be like that but I like the subtle sweetness that comes with it. I will do more research and eat more canelés from elsewhere! The opera cake - the chocolate ganache layer was intense and sweet, further amplified by coffee syrup soaking its beautiful Joconde sponge. Such strong flavours from chocolate and espresso were backed up by coffee tasting buttercream that made the cake a whole. This isn't a cake for those with light palate but I loved it! Absolute Chocolate cake - a layer of dense sweet moist chocolate cake layered with subtly sweet chocolate mousse-like layer and coated with bitter and soft dark chocolate ganache with a layer of crunchy stuff (have no idea what it was) - each layer complimenting one and another - a bite of heavenly goodness any chocolate fan should try! Lemon tart - Although I am not a fan of citrus family but I do appreciate its flavours. The lemon curd is so beautifully tart and the scent of lemon played on the palate pleasantly, carried by a beautiful buttery and very short tart shell The coffee - Just a plain machine made coffee served with what I think is a pistachio sablé. Short crumbly not your everyday pistachio biscuit, who cares about the coffee really? I came for desserts! The place is very small with limited seatings so expect to either not get a place and have your food packed, or just come early. If you're lucky enough to get a a table indoor, every spot is Instagrammable Undoubtedly worth driving all the way from Negri Sembilan! Updated 04/06/2021 - A week ago went here again and got myself summer berries tart - Beautifully baked tart shell not soggy at all, savoury, with fresh (not bruised at all) raspberries and blackberries on a bed of light chantilly cream - beautiful and calory-worthy as usual Updated 24/08/2021 - Had chocolate praline tart for my birthday. If you think Ferrero Rocher is good, you need to taste this. It is at least 3-4folds better!

Despite the small size and pricey, the taste was really satisfying. They are not too sweet and the original flavour of the ingredients stands out; you can really taste the peanut butter, chocolate and the fruits. They also put more effort into the decorations for both pastries and the place. However, as they are actually not a cafe, do not put expectation to dine-in with large group. Each table is best served for 2 pax at maximum but with CMCO restriction, only 1 pax would be acceptable. (I visited during RMCO when the rules were a bit loose). Personally, I do hope they could upgrade their business into cafe for better dining experience but with covid operation restrictions, their current concept is practical though. The location would look tricky with limited parking lot as it's situated near to the gallery and futsal court. As Malaysian typically not familiar with French named pastries, it would be helpful if the staffs are ready to explain about the menu. "May I help you?", that would really help us to choose quicker especially when there are people in queue.

I can say that I am a regular customer at Marc et Farid. They served very good desserts. If you managed to go to their shop, you must try their quiches too. It’s very tasty! My most favourite is their absolute chocolate and cannelés. Chocolate opera is also nice and also their tarts ? ALL are good actually? you should really try your self. Their location is behind twentyfive.7 show gallery. Opposite the lake.

This quaint little cafe is heavily decorated with cute cats ornaments ? I bought Chocolate Praline tart. Tasted absolutely great *chef’s kiss* It’s not too sweet and tasted a bit bitter. Just perfect for my palate. I also tasted my friend’s Raspberry tart and Paris Brest. Delicious as well! It’s very pricey though! The place has limited tables. They’re only 3 tables inside the cafe. Outside has more tables though.

Limited options of pastries. Mostly tarts, no cakes. Their tarts are good but the iced chocolate tastes like diluted chocolate milk.

Price is worth the taste. The location kinda hard to reach so that’s why I don’t give full stars. Overall, recommended ??
