Their food just normal and very expensive. Pricing very inconsistent. The older guy will simply calculate based on his mood. 3 dishes 1rice meal ranging from RM7.5 to RM9, other places can get RM5 to 7 with the same portion.

I love the variety of vegetarian mixed rice dishes they have. Taste is good and the price is reasonable. A big portion of mixed rice can cost around RM8 to RM10. The pao and glutinous rice dish also nice.

We dropped by here to order takeaway meals as our regular place to order meals were closed for the day for it's workers to get vaccinated for preventing Covid-19 infections. This is a full vegetarian eatery. The meals are prepared and spread out in cafeteria-style for patrons to select the dishes they wanted. However, currently to reduce risks of infection, only the owner will scoop the dish as pointed out by the patrons. A wide selection of freshly cooked vegetarian dishes are offered daily. The menu includes vegetarian steam buns or pay and bamboo wrapped dumplings. The service is courteous and efficient. Prices are reasonable and wallet-friendly. Parkings are easily available due to the ongoing lockdown.

Had three dishes with brown rice which costed RM 9. Taste-wise it was fine but found the vegetables (especially the brinjal) a bit too oily.

One of the oldest vegetarian food shops still in operation in the PJ area, Meng Tuck serves pre-cooked dishes which you spoon yourself onto a plate of either brown or white rice. The dishes on offer are standard Chinese vegetarian fare but they’re made fresh every day and quite tasty. Prices are actually quite reasonable.

This is a family run Chinese vegetarian shop selling cooked food (chap fan style-min 10 types of dishes) as well as pre packaged food (steam paos, biscuits, frozen pao, instant noodles). Open every Mon-Sat. Crowd during weekday are usually residents living within the neighbourhood or people working nearby looking for good vegetarian option. On every 1st and 15th day of the Chinese calendar month, there is usually a bigger variety of dishes to cater for the occasion. Dine in sitting limited but usually patrons just share the table or tapau. Also good breakfast spot for someone looking for simple fried Mee/Mee Hoon / Kuew teow in the morning. Occasionally shop owner will dish out their version of nasi lemak with Sambal , peanuts, vege of the day and fried vege Ikan bilis. But you can add on other dishes to enjoy ur large pack of nasi. My fav is the mutton kari, definitely deep in flavour and I can’t find this version anywhere else.

I've been eating vegetarian on & off for almost 10 years and Meng Tuck is definitely not a recommended place. They over-charge customers with ridiculous prices because they think they are the only option available. The man at the counter seems like he's not interested in doing this business at all. 3 dishes with rice is RM8 to RM10! Where else I can eat the same amount or more for RM6 to RM7 at Sandalo in Damansara Uptown. As a vegetarian outlet, you're supposed to do good and be kind, but here, it seems like they only want to make money and are not bothered with customers. Sure, on 1st & 15th, there's always a long line outside their shop, but it also looks like SS2 people could be bothered and just pay whatever for convenience. I truly hope Meng Tuck changes to become wise and see the positivity in helping people, and by being kind to others. Sadly, I have to exclude this place for my vegetarian meals from now.
