This scruffy collect collection of hawker stalls wouldn't warrant a second glance, but the steady stream of ordinary local folk hint that some treasures await the hungry traveller.
We three shared hok kien mee which was superb in itself, but taken too another level when you mix in the balacan they provided - did I detect a hint of lime in the pungent but delicious mix?
Also we had the wet koay teow which had a delicious smokyness about it.
Kids had nasi lemak from the Malay stall which they polished of with gusto.
A real hidden gem if you aren't fussy about the surroundings but do like a good plate of noodles.
