★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I totally recommend this place. You can rent tiny basic huts with a bed, a bathroom and a small veranda. There is a shop and many cafes nearby where you can get yourself basic things and grab something to eat. They'll pick you up from the ferry if you want for 35 RM/pP (August 2018)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staying at 104 at the moment. Probably most beatiful Bungalow to be! -absolutely amazing view to the beach with palm trees :P
The owners are very nice- once they knocked the door just to bring me fresh fruits! If i have enough money to buy a flight ticket from Vienna to Tioman again- it's my GO-TO-Location!
my only minus is: Wifi is not thaaaaaaat good, but acceptable :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The person in charge provided us with this nice chalet. Mentawak is composed with 4 chalet, all located right on the beach. Location is ideal, surounded by only the beach, calm, and eventually some restaurants.
Rooms are clean and basic for this type of accommodation.
For a great quiet place, strongly recommended

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Loved our stay here! Beautiful bungalows two steps from the beach and super nice owner. We even asked if we could transfer the money of our stay and he agreed (pay attention, no ATMs on the island).
Negative sides: the bungalows roofs are made of asbestos ? and we've been a bit overcharged by the owner as he picked us up from the ferry point, we should have asked around instead and we would have gotten a cheaper price.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely wooden chalets right on the beach. Perfect location. Great for Ray's Dive Centre...
My room is perfect but they messed my friends booking up, no kettle, no room key but all sorted when the owners turned up. Could do with a table to put your suitcase on.
Wi-Fi is an issue. It's not good at all but you can get on line in Rainbow Cafe and Mutirara restaurant, 10 mins walk away.
