Could barely get off the car when pounced on by multiple restaurant operators trying to get your business. Aggressive and pushy. One woman even followed us around whilst we were talking to other owners. Complete turn off and so unlike the Malaysia we have seen in the last one month touring here. We left in 10 minutes because of this experience. Unpleasant and highly overrated.

Very fresh and cheap seafood! Ordered salted egg crab, steamed prawns etc from restaurant no 1 and really ???! We went to the Portugese settlement a week before christmas and the entire area was filled with a christmasy mood. There was a big christmas tree, children singing christmas carols, houses decorated with lights, and fireworks!

It is a so-called tourist attraction that has lost its attractiveness. Many of the reviews are true. One immediately gets pounced upon by the respective stall representative who will sweet talk you to get your business. The beautiful sunset view has been blocked by a building. Take a walk to the stalls, where the seafood is displayed and rat droppings can be seen everywhere. Food quality is very doubtful and the price is not cheap anymore. A definite first time, last time patronising this place.

Good seas food restaurant at Melaka at seaside plus plenty of tourists around...ha! ha! The roasted sotong, butter or black pepper crabs, fried/steam fish are tasty because the ingredient are fresh. The price is value for money or very worth it. The services are good and appropriate. Only problem is traffic n car park...but try it.

Portuguese settlement seafood stalls. Nice scenery at night. Christmas atmosphere during month of December.

Great seafood in Malaka! Worth the detour, but there is not much else around. Check out the resto 88, they have a great menu and try the baked ota and potugesd baked fish!

If you're looking for seafood Portuguese style. I recommend Stall 88 (if im not mistaken the one with blue chairs) Food is good , price is expensive but ive tried all stalls there so stall 88 is more worth than others. Baked Portuguese fish is a must try. Then pls try the black pepper prawns too. Yummy. Some other stalls there are owned by chinese, with chinese chef so their food is a mix. Stall 88 you get almost authentic flavors. Give it a try???
