★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Old temple. Tourists should go under the tree where traders sell all kinds of local fruits, fresh coconuts, and various kinds of famous cookies from Johor. The South Temple 南寺is a Mahayana Buddhist temple with a huge structure attached behind. Could be a private centre for meditation practice. Visitors could find out more details from the front desk or the traders under the tree.

1 August 2020: My family and I visited the temple and the wooden portion of the temple was burnt down. Fortunately, efforts to rebuilt the wooden temple has started. The newer portion of the temple is still there.
26 December 2020: The old temple is being rebuild. Unfortunately, the large tree beside the washing place was cut down.
