Wonderful retreat for family and friends to picnic and camping. The beach is cleaner and there are many activities to do besides swimming and camping. We can enjoy Banana Boat ride, Doughnut ride, Jetski, para gliding as well as beach related sports. However, we were troubled by monkeys at the beach. So those who bring food and drinks must stay vigilant. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Went there with the whole family, we went treking for an hour and took a boat to monkey beach. If you went early, the beach is quite empty and you got the whole place to yourself.

Just visited as I passby the area, the parking are little tough to get and costs around RM4. Able to get good view of the sea from here. Located here are the entrance to Taman Negara Penang, a good place to hike.

No need to pay for entrance fee, just scan QR to fill in google form for the purpose of your visit with personal contact info. The hiking trail is consider medium to hard level, depend on the route you go and the distance you walk. If want to finish all the route then is around 20km+. If you just want to go to the pantai kerachut that area then the trail toward there is medium level, just make sure wear a suitable shoe and if got rain then might be slippery. The pantai there is so quiet and chilling, but is prohibited for swimming activity due to danger terrain. There is a campsite beside the pantai, the facility looks abandoned but at least the tap water still functioning and got some table and cooking place.

Great day out hiking to Pantai Kerachut. We arrived at the parks entrance and were met by very helpful staff who explained our route options. (Note:monkey beach trail is currently closed) our walk to Kerachut took us around 1hr 10mins and was not too difficult. It is completely worth the hike. We opted for a boat return and arranged a pick up time with a drop off to monkey beach en route. Monkey beach - well it does have monkeys. But the beach itself is extremely run down. Probably because of covid which is very unfortunate, maybe in time they will clean it up and bring it back to life. But until then I wouldn't reccomend going at the moment as it was very unclean and not much going on. Our highlight of our trip to Penang was most definitely the hike to Kerachut beach! Take plenty of water as nowhere to buy any - at least 1.5 litres each.
