β β β β β I used to know it famous in ijok but never eat before. 1st time trying this famous beggar chicken but this is near to Zoo Negara area. Chicken is delicious .a lot of Chinese herbs inside the chicken.The meat was tender & the soup so tasty. My family & relatives also love it. Keep wondering what herbs the chef put make it so yummy.haha

β β β β β The only restaurant in KL region serving authentic beggarβs chicken and associated cuisines. Overall good services. Food is above average but lack the ultimate βummphβ feel that will mesmerise a person thoroughly. Worth for a try if you never try beggarβs chicken before.

Note:
1) need to order 1 day in advance and reserve due to limited tables available
2) family run business, very friendly folks ?
3) limited parking ? (restaurant is actually part of a house) so i hope you have great reverse parking skills
4) payment either cash or TouchNGo or online bank transfer, just no credit card
5) seating is open air, socially distanced
6) location - same jalan as Zoo Negara, use waze
Based on the restaurant's recommendation, we ordered their signature dishes. Taste soooooo good and I didnt feel any effects of MSG after the meal. environment is very warm and friendly. Definitely will return!

β β β β β Absolutely delicious. The place offers an authentic Malaysian style "Beggar Chicken", this is a must ordered food. Please order in advance as the chef required 5 hours to cook. Will definitely come back.

β β β β β Been eating dinner here for 2 times. Few years ago and recently in Dec 2021.
Not much different compares to few years back. Just not as crowded as before maybe it's due to pandemic and it was late, we arrived at 8pm.
Love its open-air seating. The restaurant accept reservations and its better to call and book before you go.
They serve lunch and dinner., and this place require face mask and temperature check for customers.
Recommended: Beggar Chicken, beggar duck, Country fish.
Food: Delicious, hot and fresh
Price: Moderate (Chicken RM55, Fish RM40)
Service: Very Friendly lady boss
Cleanliness: 3 stars
Parking: Free parking in front of the restaurant.

β β β β β The beggar chicken is so so only, not very strong flavour and a little dry. The beggar duck is very much better, moist, full or herbal flavour and falling off the bone. So better to take the duck. The pork trotter was nice and tasty. The boneless fish is also good. Parking is limited inside but the shop staff will help you with the parking and if u are blocked they will get the cars to move for you. The experience of seeing how the beggar chicken is done is part of the dining experience. Overall, not a bad dining experience.
