Really cool drive up if you're on a scooter with great views at the top. Also a couple of lovely, friendly dogs awaiting your arrival.

Superb sights at the top of this precarious climb - worth the workout! You'll get some great exercise getting to this clean, scenic temple in the hills. Path up is steep with numerous sandy sections and a few sharp bends, but keep your wits about you and watch out for motorbikes and you'll be fine. There's a meticulous flower farm just above the temple if you know how to scale the earthen steps

Light hike from the dam to reach this point along the green, fresh trail. Serving gorgeous view of the Balik Pulau landscape. Altitude around 450m. Expect many visitor - local hikers and cyclist, especially on weekend.

Best view of Balik Pulau plateau can be view from this hill top apperception, open viewing as far as the eyes catches. Though getting here requires your endurance but once you're up here the tiredness is soon forgotten. This splendid site housed several Chinese dieties commonly known as the Ngoh Hean Hill temple local residents called the Pao Thian Kung biao, a temple not many knew of its existence and not listed on the map of tourist attractions but is never short of its unique ambience to regular hikers of the dam. You'll have to work out a good sweat before reaching here and the journey might roughly takes up 45 minutes from the parking space of the dam depends on your level of fitness. If you enjoy eating hakka food wait for the yearly temple celebration. Devotees will be able to enjoy hakka cooking by the local hakka community, donate as you eat. Each trip up here have its own adventure and I have no reasons not to venture up here again to experience the breezy wind plus the ultra calmness surrounding. Sounds of birds and if you're lucky enough you can catch a glimpse of insects, wild animals in their natural habitat. Will be fun for the kids it also goes well as a family and friends outing, at the same time you can do some charitable work by contributing to the temple for upkeeping this place. They do not have other source of income except from donations, do a good deed and contribute generously. Give me a Like if you find this article informative.

Another hiking spot for nature lovers. Do not turn away from this spot simply because it's a chinese temple. It is open to everyone. You can still hike up here for the stunning view of Balik Pulau.

Is worth hiking up to Ngoh Hean for such a breathtaking view of Balik Pulau. Is about 45-60 min walk and not a very tiring walk as is not that steep. You will meet many cyclist and motorcyclist and also catch a whiff of durians now. Is the peak of the durian season in May/June. Be welcome by this special Chinese temple. If you are lucky, there is a big authentic Hakka feast twice a year and everyone can enjoy. Just chip in with a generous donation!
