I will rate this place based on 3 categories: Setting, Selection and Service. Setting: 5/5 The Equatorial Hotel / EQ Plaza is undoubtedly classy & luxurious, and Nipah carries the similar feel in its ambience, furniture and finishing. Selection: 3/5 This is where the affirmative tone for this review ends ... I was actually quite disappointed by the spread. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. There are not many choices - maybe I was expecting too much paying RM135++ per adult for dinner. You get oysters, prawns and some decent meat - but everything else are mainly Asian options. Taste wise, not terrible but not fantastic, usually a buffet will make up for its lack of flavour with its variety - but in this case that doesn't happen. Service: 2/5 Considering that this is a restaurant in a 5 star hotel, I would have expected much more from the service staff. Granted, I acknowledge that maybe they were short-handed, but being the weekend you would think that more staff should be deployed to handle the crowd. Most of the time my table was not cleared by the staff - I had to leave my empty plates on a nearby vacant number to make way for new portions of food I had just taken. Also, you have to request for the service staff to get satay from you from the kitchen as it is made fresh - I had to remind the one serving our section twice before it actually came. When it was time for dessert, there were no longer any refills happening and it was only about 9pm. Some of the items (including ice cream I think) were completely gone. Overall I would give them 3 out of 5, but I have very little inclination to return.

We were treated to buffet lunch here during X'Mas 2021. The food is honestly so-so at best. I wouldn't come back on my own terms. The service by the staff is also so-so as well. They wouldn't come over to refill your water and we had to try hard to get their attention. The ambience and environment is great for chilling though.

RM200+ per pax for Sunday Ramadan buffet. Food is average. For the price, I do expect more food selection for a buffet.

One of the best restaurants in KLCC. I'm a little full today, so we just ordered a la carte. Otherwise, we will go for the buffet. My favourite here is Roti Canai. You must try! The roti canai is soft but has a crispy bit on the outside, served with dhal. It"s their best seller.

The food and the ambience are great! Couldn’t stop ourselves from going back and forth to the buffet station, not to mention their signature teh tarik. With helpful and friendly staffs, I’d say I will definitely come back.

After checked many of post online and the comment said it was limited food selection and really not much choice compare with others but I like the fresh oyster where you can see that are really open on the spot which really taste good fresh and sweet. Oh yeah don't forgot another sweet and fresh tiger prawns are a must try.

You don't know what you're missing. Ditch the idea that a buffet requires a massive number of dishes to get your ringgit's worth. In the case of Nipah, less truly is so much more. Nipah's claim to fame is their spread of the freshest oysters in town, along with sweet and juicy fresh prawns. And these are indeed the clear highlights - someone is always on standby ready to shuck your oysters. But I tell you, it's everything else about this place that fills my mean little heart with joy. Sort of like a centrepiece and counterpoint to the seafood is the roast beef skirt (that was served today, by the sweetest, gruffest old chef in the world!) - it alternates between lamb and beef I'm told - that is juicy soft and done just right. It sits at one end of a spread that sits across two tables - an ostensibly western section and an Asian section. The food is, frankly, pretty awesome. As I mentioned, the food is amazing but just as amazing - and the reason we also keep coming back - is the people. Everyone from the Restaurant Manager, Pn Hamsiah, to the dear old chef, Johann (sp?), to the amazing, unobstrusive but ever attentive wait staff, are the real crown jewels of this buffet experience. Just amazing. So will I be back? Dude, this is my third time already...!

Pleasant place. I was delighted to drive at their spacious car park compared to many narrow ones around town. Food selection is decent. Esp love their prawn curry, roast beef, and fresh oysters (freshly open and serve upon request, which I think minimize contamination). Satays are tender, served hot upon request too. Friendly and attentive service by the chef and crew. Quite quiet on the weekday when we head over for business lunch.
