โ โ โ โ โ We heard quite a bit of positive reviews about this restaurant and so we decided to give it a try when we were in Penang. The food is quite good but in my opinion, their a la carte prices are a bit on the steeper side for the venue where they are located. However their weekend and lunch set menus are really value for money. They have an air-conditioned indoor dining area as well as a patio dining area. However, there's no glass door or air curtain to prevent the aircon from leaking out. My friend even got bitten by mosquitoes. Overall the service was pretty good but I feel the ambience is a bit too dim as we cannot see the mosquitoes. If it wasn't for the minor irritants, I might have given the restaurant a four star rating.

โ โ โ โ โ I like almost everything on the western menu. Iโve not had the chance to try their Asian delights but Iโm definitely going back for more. The service is good and the place is clean. Iโd advice making reservations prior to your visit, as theyโre usually fully booked for dinner, especially on weekends.

โ โ โ โ โ This long running restaurant is my regular spot for good food. Menu has many choices of western and Asian food is available. You will find many signature dish here that is great quality. Some of our favourite is the award winning Laotian laksa, fish and chip, and the once a week grilled beef with Yorkshire pudding that's available Sunday.
The dessert include unique choices such as coffee jelly and classical creme brulee.
The restaurant has recently been renovated and has cosy deco. No Eyed Deer owner is a meticulous chef himself with great attention to detail in both food and service.
If you're around the corner in Penang, it's a definite must check out.

โ โ โ โ โ Delicious food made with heart, warm and cosy environment, attentive, quick service. No eyed deer has been a staple in Tanjong Tokong for as long as I can remember and there is a reason for it - good food. Air-conditioned seating as well as outdoor seating available, ample parking space. Lift access.

โ โ โ โ โ Menu very confusing, as food all available base on selected time&day. Serving verrrrry slow. food portion equal with the price, but taste below expectation, seem the best is the set's soup only.

โ โ โ โ โ The steak I had for dinner was very salty.
It's not just salty, it's salty enough that you can't eat it. It was salty enough to make me sick the more I chewed.
I told the owner that I couldn't eat it because I squeezed it several times, but they only answered that they couldn't help it.
I ate all the money because it was a waste.
I will never go here again.
They gave me food that I couldn't eat.
Then Salty turned a deaf ear to my complaint.
I paid for my forced steak and now I took medicine because I have a stomachache.
Indeed, the steak was not edible.

โ โ โ โ โ A quaint little restaurant ? super friendly with cosy environment ? You'll be in the mood for the food in the menu ? Simple meals with great and lovely taste. The desserts are awesome ? My personal favourite : the coffee jelly! ?? it's out of this world! This place is a great escape from the crowded & noisy world outside. Great place to relax and enjoy ???

โ โ โ โ โ We enjoyed a lovely mid-week dinner sneak to this lovely restaurant. Waitress June prepared our outdoor table as per our request & we proceeded to enjoy a wonderful dinner beginning with a bottle of Hardies Sauvignon Blanc, a very tasty Australian selection. Our chosen Set Entrees were Barramundi with Chili Lime Sauce for her & Parmeson Chicken for me. Both dishes came with Salad & Mashed Potatoes but were preceded by a delicious bowl of Pumpkin Soup. Dessert was Upside Down Ice Cream. Owners Ken & Elfina are doing a terrific job ?We shall return should the opportunity present itself.
