Nona Bali Restaurant - 10350 George Town

An interesting spot near the maritime apartment for dinner. I ate the grilled sea bass that served in balinese style, and it was really good. Other menus that my friends ordered were equally good ! This place also boasts a very authentic Balinese ambiance which makes dinner experience more exciting.

I've been a patron at Nona Bali for many, many years - since its location in town, and now in a new location. Nestled in a row of shophouses in the popular neighbourhood of Pulau Tikus, Nona Bali has remained true to its roots, and has remained a must for me when I return to Penang. Located at Lintang Burma, Parking can be a little elusive, especially during peak periods. However, it's worth the effort, and you'll be rewarded with the food... think of the food! I love the greenery that greets you as you approach the restaurant, complete with two parasols from Bali that complete the decor outside. While the old venue featured a darker theme for the dining area, this new location is bright and breezy. The dining area is warm and inviting, with artworks lining both walls, and a very comfortable seating arrangement. During peak periods, the restaurant can be a little busy, but the staff there are quick and efficient, with Ogy, their server, and the owner, Peter, scurrying about, ensuring everyone has their meals in a timely manner. The level of service here is taken to another level, as Peter takes you through the menu items with the most utmost warmth and friendliness, unseen before in any other restaurant. The food is outstanding. The pics I have included are various dishes I have savoured with my family and friends - each one always cooked to perfection. My personal favourite is Iga Bakar - barbecued beef ribs with an astounding sauce, on a bed of grilled eggplant, served with rice. Some may complain about the pricing here being a little high. As the saying goes, "Good things are not cheap, cheap things are not good", and this really applies to Nona Bali. The quality of the ingredients that go into the food results in dishes that are beyond spectacular. Couple that with Peter's impeccable warmth and attention to detail to ensure your dining experience is top notch, it's no wonder Nona Bali is a must go in my list! Even the Indonesian Government agrees - the restaurant is now an Indonesian Tourism Partner, an accolade given to very few restaurants around the world!

Was about to get the worst experience but was saved by the owner ? Food is very delicious. Ordered roast duck and beef for our lunch. My wife and i always travel to Bali every before pandemic start and we missed our holiday there. We are having conference here in Penang and decided to google which is the best Bali restaurant and guys, i really reccomend this place. The owner is very courteous and kind. We had our flavoursome meal and enjoy our desert. They had moved to a new venue recently, it is near Public Mutual Penang, and please call to make reservations before coming here.

Excellent service and tasty food! Food is authentic, fresh and worth every penny! Would definitely come back again. The place looks very suitable for big groups and family dinners.

Owner is very friendly and nice. Food is superb ! Ambience is cozy Please try their spicy beef and bbq chicken? For dessert, their vanilla ice cream! It's so good !

2 attempt reservations failed and today is the lucky day I think. Finally got a table for dinner reserved. Bright lights into the dining room from the large windows at the entrance does make it look neat and spacious. Let's jump into what is on the menu. I couldn't decide actually when I browsed through it. All looked yummy. I decided to choose something I know for this time. Food: Sate Lilit- 4 PCs. Gado Gado Nasi Campur Nona - chicken Bebek Goreng- duck Drinks: Lemongrass Mojito Overall food tastes good and not a single complaint on any downside. Service is fast too with a friendly touch. I particularly liked the lemongrass Mojito which is refreshing. Will definitely be back to try others on the menu. Pictures are according to the order description.

Amazing luncheon last weekend! We ordered 2 dishes with rice, shared together. I can't remember the names of the dishes, unfortunately haha ? We had the ribs called "Iga Bakar" and a chicken dish with sambal hijau on it. Perfect blend altogether. Very good service and friendly staff who suggested what to order for us. The restaurant is not that big but love the Indonesian ambience when we step in. Price is on the high side. Thank you for serving us good food hehe ?

AMAZING food and great service! This restaurant was actually recognised by the Indonesian embassy so it's legit ;) Owner is absolutely lovely and fun to chat with! Highly recommended.
