Service is good. But the working environment is bad. The broken stairs at the x-moon were repaired. Don't wait for someone to get hurt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1. For first timer me, I ended up at the wrong Wisma Kastam (Central Zone) so I had to back-track 24km to Wisma Kastam, North Port.
2. Fortunately, as I had my short visit at Wisma Kastam Central Zone, the high transporter traffic along NKVE had loosen up so I could meander in the traffic fairly easily.
3. But I reached Wisma Kastam North Port at 12:05 pm on a Friday and knew office hours was closed, still, I tried my luck.
4. At the front desk counter, the guard clarified what I already knew but I requested and was given permission to find the specific office. The main door of the specific office was locked but two presses on the door buzzer and an officer came out.
5. He told me office hours was closed yet unlocked the door to ask what my visit was about.
6. After a brief clarification, he invited us to his office and I found he was a senior officer. I explained my case and even when his handphone rang, he told his friend he was occupied and continued to help us through. My walk-in discussion took half and hour so I really appreciate and salute him for being so courteous, helpful and guiding me on my case taking up his personal time.
7. He clarified all dealing always involve a Kastam notice where they check the authenticity of the document by its reference number as they are aware some are fakes and advised us to insist on such documents if we want to deal with them directly.
8. Before I left, I visited the toilet and found one wing currently renovated while the other wing reasonably clean.
9. Going back, Google Maps identified there was still heavy traffic along NKVE so I made a detour and took the route home via Federal Highway which had light traffic so that was a good choice.
10. It pays to optimize Google Maps especially when one is a first timer to a place.
