I am from Indonesia and I have had a history of retinal detachment. Dr Chua is amazingly meticulous and he takes his time to explain my eye condition. I had a retina scan, cornea scan, lense scan and macular scan in the one session. This place has amazing machinery and even more amazing staff! Everyone was super warm, friendly and patient! Service was super fast and the place is super comfy. Two thumbs up for Optimax, Dr Chua and all the amazing staff

I did my surgery with TTDI Optimax yesterday and everything went smooth. The doctor was from Sunway Optimax branch and today I went there follow up and it was fine. After consultation with doctor however, I requested for a summary/report of the surgery done on my eyes and the doctor said ok. After I am done with doctor, the reception counter called me. Told me that, I have to pay RM110 for the report. Sorry to say this but this was a fully paid procedure done on my both eyes and I feel that I have every right to keep a document of what procedure was done on my eyes by the doctor. Moreover, it was an expensive procedure too. So i never thought that they would ask me to pay for it while this is normal procedure else where. Later, I called TTDI Optimax as my procedure was done there and requested the same. Said that they can only provide the assessment report that was done initially. And for the summary report, I have to still approach Sunway Optimax because the doctor is from there. So TTDI Optimax, sent me this assessment report and to my surprise, it was just an annonated outline of the initial test result figures. The actual assessment is still with them. I am so disappointed at this point as I didn't undergo this surgery with TTDI Optimax hoping for this unfortunate outcome. However, this is the kind of service provided by Optimax. Wish I have opted for another place for the surgery instead of TTDI.

Finally I successfully did ReLEx SMILE surgery last week. actually twice in optimax ttdi within 1 month. Yes twice, 1st time (failed) with another doctor and 2nd time (successful) with Dr Stephen. The first surgery got aborted/canceled because i move. Yes i admit I move because the green light wasn’t in the middle but the doctor keep on telling me i need to look at the green light but i told him the green light is moving to the right and i got freak out so i move my eyes and i move my head. The instructions given wasn’t clear for me before the procedure, it was only one very short and fast, simply dont move, relax and focus on the green light. At that time there was another 2 more patients waiting. After the procedure aborted i was abit frustrated and at the same time felt abit rejected. I almost give up. I came back a week after for my eye checkup. The doctor said i can still do ReLEx SMILE but he advise for TESA but i quietly disagree because after reading about it, the post surgery was painful and it takes 1-2 weeks to heal. I dont have 1-2 weeks, i only have less than 5 days coz i’m working with 3 kids. After discuss with Samantha(assistant manager) twice, I finally made my own decision to change to Dr Stephen. I am desperately tired of wearing spectacles, and I’m still a good candidate for ReLEx SMILE and actually I wasn’t scared during the procedure and i don’t want to give up yet. Samantha was very supportive and helpful and i really needed that. She said Dr Stephen willing to take my case, I was quite relieved. On the day of my surgery, there was 6 patients waiting (including me) one of the nurses give a brief talk to all of us for the post treatment. Later, Dr Stephen come and give 2 brief and precise instructions to us before the procedure, he make sure everyone understands. Dr Stephen can speak English and Cantonese but he can speak little2 malay to me, he ALSO keeps on talking and guiding me during the surgery. He keeps focusing this- i need to look where the green light was before, dont try to chase it, dont try to squeeze your eyes , relax, just look straight ahead even though the green light is moving, when it blurs out, just look to where you last saw it. The surgery take about 6 minutes only. After 2 hours my eyes abit pain and watery but still manageable so i went home, take the pain killer and close my eyes for 4-5 hours. After 24 hours i can drive but sometimes i feel discomfort on my right eye. After 2 days of surgery i dont feel any discomfort anymore. Now after 5-7 days of surgery, my vision sometimes abit blur/cloudy and sometimes dry and i try not to look at the screen for too long. Still abit sensitive with light. I just keep on wearing sunglasses outdoor during the day. But overall i am satisfied. i can finally see without wearing glasses. The services and hospitality before, during and after the procedure under Dr Stephen was very good. Thank you Optimax ttdi, tq nurses, optometrist, Samantha and Dr Stephen. Thanks for never giving up on me.

Good doctor but the clinic is a mass processing factory. They book too many patients. I came a few times and waiting times are always VERY long. Thought, well now, we’ve started seeing this doctor and they have our patient records, so let’s bear with it. My son - also a patient there- had an acute problem with his eyes and I called to ask, if we could come on the same day … nope! But we could see another Doctor in the clinic under the condition to pay again for a registration fee since it’s a different doctor. Right! Went finally somewhere else…

First off, want to preface this by saying I have gotten good treatment for my eyes here. But the way they make appointments for patients is ridiculous. I asked for the earliest appointment with the doctor on Saturday, was told the earliest one was 230pm. Fine. I arrived at 2pm and sat there for 2 and a half hours. When asked when my turn was coming up, they replied β€œSoon” or β€œNext”. But it was definitely not the case. Despite them saying they will look into the matter and address it accordingly on the google reviews, it seems like this is not a new issue. Please do better Optimax.

I've done my eye examination on last week and I paid RM120 with the promo discount of Watson card which is a affordable amount. Overall the examination took about 2 hours. The services that have been provided by Optimax was great! 1. Optometrist are well experience and friendly. They did explain to me very well during the consultation. 2. The front liner / receptionist are well mannered and organize. Even though the waiting time is quite long because there was a lot of patient but the staff over there explain to me well mannered. So far I had a very great experienced and I'm looking forward for my next appointment.

I did the Relex Smile surgery about a month ago, and despite some dryness of the eyes I was happy with the results. The surgery was probably one of the best decisions I made this year, and I have already started recommending Optimax to colleagues and friends. The prelim checkup was done professionally, I had Nicole who made the experience very pleasant. Optimax is run professionally and runs like clockwork, despite being visibly busy. I did my surgery a week after the prelim checkup and I was under the capable hands of Dr Adeline. The surgery was brief, painless and an interesting experience. But you do need to manage your expectations, because despite the information that I've researched and coaxed out of friends, I wished I knew this earlier: - During the prelim checkup, they will dilate your pupils and if you like to read and watch Netflix, your eyes will be out of action for a day or two - You're not going to get clear vision right away, the eyes need time to heal before your vision gets better and this takes time, and different recovery rate for different people - The waiting for the surgery may take longer than the surgery itself - You're not going to be knocked out during the surgery, you'll be fully conscious under local anaesthetics. Don't worry though, as this is a painless process

Highly recommended ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My husband and I travelled from Indonesia to KL to have our eyes checked with DR CHUAH at OPTIMAX EYE SPECIALIST TTDI and we are so impressed and pleased with the comprehensive, professional, high quality and high tech eye care technology utilised here. My husband has had a previous vitrectomy surgery from a few years ago and we have not been back to KL to do his routine check - up because of the pandemic. OPTIMAX TTDI has in-depth testing for the whole eye, and this is our first time ever receiving detailed imaging and reports on the cornea, retina, lens and optic nerve health. Consultant Joon took care of our appointment, all staff at the clinic were courteous and helpful, Dr Chuah was attentive, caring, patient and so knowledgeable in helping explain to us how to manage my husband's eye current eye condition. We will be back for the next visit in a month. OPTIMAX has an utmost commitment to maintaining the ultimate eye care facility in Malaysia and we trust OPTIMAX with all our eye care needs.
