So much history started at ths corner of PJ for a humble mamak to ascend from personal handicraft of making roti to a high tech restaurant with a dozen Indian migrant cooks displaying their unhygenic skills of making South Indian cuisines at different stations. The sweat on their brow pays for the two years of enforced labour at the hands of a naturalised Sinhalese boss. So enjoy the roti made of blood, sweat and tears adding flavour to your dhal curry. With hot barley drink at RM3, some Kayu fella is laughing all the way to the bank.

โ โ โ โ โ 1 piece of sotong (not even a big piece), 2 pieces of Liver??? (i think) and cucumbers costs Rm 27.05. Wow just wow
And the food and drinks there is not even nice and clean.
We got food poisoning after 1 visit and we decided to try the 2nd time and still gave us mild food poisoning.
And the service is BADDDDDDD. No waiters would come to clean my table even thou i was standing there for around 3 minutes?

โ โ โ โ โ This is what I receive for tandoori RM15.60 whenever I order by grab. Rm15 is not small amount, pls serve ur customer equally as ur pricing.. I'm really disappointed this time. I'm ur regular customer who directly visited ur restaurant but this is my first time I order through grab so this is what I received.. pls response to this and make any amendments..

โ โ โ โ โ It used to be good. Maybe covid affected the service and taste. I cant say good things about my recent visit. The drinks are expensive, robot takes time to deliver food. I can see the food at the counter but the robots available are busy and we had to wait.
They need to improve in food quality, cleanliness ( table werent wipe when we arrived. Iced drinks are expensive in Kayu.

Your waiter's services are extremely lousy. For a second, i thought they were dumb, deaf and blind. You charge premiun price, customers will expect premium service.
Furthermore, i dont think you are following Covid SOP, your waiters are not wiping the tables at all. I came in the tables were dirty. When i leave, it was still dirty.

โ โ โ โ โ The varieties are awesome. It can get very overwhelming. Kayu is way more pricey than your average mamak + the ss2 branch is crowded!
Personally enjoyed their roti tissue, roti pisang kaya and maggie goreng.
The sotong goreng besar is RM45 served with alot of bawang. Not quite it but taste is alright.
