★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visit this place after the end of the Northeastern Monsoon season and you will meet deep-sea anglers from around the world. The public jetty is covered and stretches a long way from the Rompin river bank. The brave anglers hire boats to take them out to sea. The more laid back anglers will cast their lines from the covered jetty itself. It seems to be a popular spot for groups to start their hunt for huge billfish or marlin. Kuala Rompin even has a statue of a billfish next to the busiest street junction in town. However, it's about 20 minutes drive from town to this jetty as there is no bridge to connect the two sides of the Rompin River at the estuary.
