★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The market has seen better days pre pandemic when many licenced and unlicenced vendors plied their trade in market produce. It was shut down for 10 days once when an infected case was detected and the authorities sanitised the whole market. After re opening, another covid outbreak occured and the market was again closed for sanitising. The authorities have mandated that only vaccinated vendors would be allowed to ply their trade and those not vaccinated would not be allowed to do so. Daily the authorities have stationed their personnel at the market to enforce the ruling. This is a wholesale market where market produce is purchased in bulk. Vegetables, poultry, pork, beef fruits, dried goods, etc are fresh and prices are generally reasonable and cheaper than other smaller markets in the BM area. After 8 to 9 am in the morning, other businesses like pharmacies, music CD shops, sundry shops, tailoring etc are opened for business. It is the main business area in BM town/city. You will be able to purchase anything from birth to grave.
