★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oui mais sans plus. Pas de masseur homme et le massage n'est pas assez énergique. À croire que les masseusses ne connaissent rien de l'anatomie. Enfin les lieux auraient pu être plus clean pour un hôtel de cette gamme. Un peu trop excentré de la vielle ville pour valoir le détour. Tarifs élevé au regard de la qualité.
 Yes but nothing more. No masseur man and the massage is not energetic enough. To believe that masseuses do not know anything about anatomy. Finally the places could have been more clean for a hotel of this range. A little too eccentric of the old city to be worth the detour. High rates in terms of quality.

But Penaga Hotel was great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Penaga spa is a great oasis in Georgetown. The spa is only a few minutes walk from busy Penang road but it might as well be in the country side, it is so peaceful and relaxing. The massage was great and just what I needed after a busy day. I will be back, definitely.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place but service standards have dropped drastically since the spa changed management. I was very impressed when i visited in 2014 but left disappointed with my recent visit in June 2018. Massage was mediocre, staff friendly enough. But no welcome drink, feet washing nor intro to essential oils (a standard practice in high end spas) . Most importantly the hygiene standards were questionable - neck pillow meant for putting my face on (face down) smelled like it was never washed, towels smelled bad. The comb in the washroom had strands of hair and dirt in it (!!!)... Unacceptable hygiene for a spa of this price range.
