Obligated to help out here even after eating here few years ago. The food is as what many food bloggers and locals said, delicious. And for the sad people who probably never tried this place out but decided to be a keyboard warrior/troll, good riddance you don't go there

The food is mediocre. But atmosphere is bad because the restaurant allows smoking by customers even though there is a smoking ban. Strongly urge all patrons with kids to avoid this coffee shop because there are a lot smokers.

Used to be one of my favourite when in JB . But noticed the standard has slight decline and business while still good but not as busy as it used to be . It is quite good value for money though. And still have to wait 20 min . But I guess thats because it is cooked using the traditional way and by stove . Will attach some pics again next time .

Very well made old school style clay pot rice. Authentic flavors, chicken was well marinated, rice was perfectly cooked with the taste caramelized bits at the bottom of the clay pot. Each portion is cooked to order so this may take a little long but it’s worth the wait. This place gets busy during peak lunch hour and breakfast. So come off peak hours to avoid the wait. Cash only and no reservations taken. Plenty of carpark infront of the shop and around the area. Look out for random fruit stall selling local seasonal fruits.

Traditional charcoal burner style Claypot Chicken Rice, few can be found around JB nowadays. They will flip the pot upside down few times during cooking, so you will not get over burned rice. They cook upon your order, so the chicken meat will be nice, juicy and tender. Unlike others, the chicken meat is ready cooked and hard to your mouth. For a delicacy like this, waiting is worth, especially during lunch time, can easily reach 20 minutes on queue, suggest grab other starter like Rojak:)

2 person set meal - a plate of vegetable, claypot chicken rice & a bowl of peanut lotus root soup. Total for RM26. The waiting time is around 20-30mins, it will be longer if it's crowded during meal time or weekend. The good thing is you can order laksa, fruits or kuey teow kia (braised pork with bean curd, hard boiled egg, flat noodle, etc) in the same kopitiam(shop house hawker) while waiting. The claypot chicken is also good for take away, the rice is very tasty and chicken is tender. It's the 2nd generation running the stall now. Good and just like the old days, thumbs up.

Order and Cook, so be prepared to wait 30mins. Pretty good food but too much black sauce for me. RM$79. Can pay using Touch & Go.
